Staff are so unpredictable & have no manners at all. They fail to greet you & acknowledge your presence.Clients are treated poorly and they do not accommodate to their needs most times.Staff fail to work as a team and plays the blame game.I would not recommend this company.NYSC are very unorganized and does not have what it takes to be a profitable organization.

The staff here are all so friendly. They are all so passionate about what they do and truly care for seniors living in the community. I highly recommend anyone to work here, but also for seniors living in the community to get service from NYSC to stay living at home as long as possible! The best quality of life is at home.

Going to the client and knock on their door and make sure they're home to receive their meal

Pros (almost none):- 1 hour lunchCons:- Favoritism: There are plenty of favoritism which lies behind this company itself.- Favoritism of clients. They specifically hand pick and chooses active clients to attend their day program while severe, cognitively impaired clients are forever waitlisted. Go elsewhere. Don't waste your time here.- Favoritism and unkind to other college students. Favoritism with George Brown students while they think students graduated from Seneca College are incompetent. Don't waste your time and energy. Do placement somewhere else. It's not worth it. It won't benefit you.- Favoritism of active clients only and separates only cognitively impaired clients, placing them in a closed environment, leaving them unwanted and forgotten.- Very catty and unprofessional staff- Treats you poorly and fails to treat staff with kindness and respect- Shuts you down when you present an idea- Underappreciated with the amount of work and effort you put into the day program- Unfriendly, toxic environment- Very disrespectful and rude staff, no remorse showed, unmannered- Fails to support and assist you while implementing a program with separated cognitively impaired clients- So many complaints, every day- Fails to follow health restrictions and health guidelines specifically such as sanitizing tables, sanitizing equipment after use, sanitizing their hands, fails to wear face masks which should be worn at all times, as they are mandatory, since we are in the middle of a pandemic.Overall, I wouldn't recommend working at this location. Don't waste your time and energy because they will underappreciate your work ethics and any ideas you present to them will get shut down. They do not even acknowledge your presence and they will treat you like you're incompetent just because you got out of school. Staff will disrespect you, walk away from you when you are speaking to them or need assistance. They fail to help your needs and fail to listen to you. It's not worth it. Save your energy for somewhere else.It is one of the worst companies I've ever worked. Don't work here. There are other better facilities nearby which will take better care of your clients' needs and other great services added too.The management does not even care about you.They will send you to another location and you will be untrained & on your own.This company sucks, hence why they are always looking for new rec therapists every few weeks. Yikes. So many unqualified staff work in this department and they are very unprofessional too.Run by a bunch of phonies and hypocrites.Stay away.
