Stand Contracting

Our home was completed with excellence. On time and on budget, on a remote island, in a pandemic with significant supply shortages and escalated prices. Dave and his carpenters wrapped up several months ago. Daily we enjoy the precision of the work.In addition, it happens that our neighbours include builders, engineers and landscape architects. Each has noted Dave’s skill and manner. His professionalism helped in our welcome to this island. We do not hesitate to endorse Dave Abbott.

It has now been 14 months since we moved into our new home on Mayne Island, BC.Our nome continues to perform beautifully with no issues. In particular I have noticed how the finish details are performing. Exterior wood joints remain tight, and pleasing to the eye, with same for the interior work.I was on site with Dave and his crew during the build assisting where needed. Dave had the work organized, and was always way out in front of the ' what's next items '. As a result I was able to perform duties, knowing what the work sequencing was. Dave communicated well, anticipating possible delivery problems and shared this with me well in advance. As a result the workflow was some of the best I have witnessed in my 30+ years of construction. He is honest, and forthright which is so critical when dealing with problems that come up and can be unpleasant to deal with.I really enjoyed being a part of the build, and this was ( in no small measure ) thanks to the skill, attitude, and work ethic of Dave and his team. Our home came in on time and within our budget.Thank you Dave, Mike, and Gherhardt!!
