The facility itself is mostly excellent, and the staff are usually super awesome. However, the last time I was down there, I and my party had to stop shooting because there was a guy running downrange with his two large dogs. When I reported this to the staff, they informed me that the man was an investor, and due to his contributions they let him run his dogs along the edge of the trap field, but there was nothing to worry about since he's all the way on the perimeter. I'm not comfortable shooting while people are downrange of me, especially with off leash animals. I understand that with proper arcs of fire and the typical range of target birdshot, there shouldn't be much risk, but there is still a risk of something unexpected happening and a person or animal getting shot. That this club is owned by a group that controls hunter education and advocates for safe firearm handling, but allows individuals to go downrange on an active shooting range with off leash animals astounds me.Also, every time I've been there, I've had issues with the pay cards or throwing machines on the trap field. The staff have gone to great effort every single time to get it working for me, but the fact that it happens so consistently is getting really annoying.

I am a regular at the Firearms Centre. I enjoy shooting both skeet and trap with friends and other members. It prepares me for field shooting in the fall, so I'm not missing or wounding as many birds. Personnel at the Centre are friendly, helpful and competent. I highly recommend the Centre to all hunters as well as those with an interest in the outdoors and firearms practice and safety.

Amazing shotgun range, plenty of trap fields and skeets if youd like. Extremely well stocked with hard to get target loads, at almost no mark up vs gun shops.Staff so friendly and helpful, and policies adhere to common sense...I appreciate this so much coming from Toronto, where every range still standing comes with tons of ego.Love the place

Great place to learn to shoot a shotgun. They have trap, skeet and five stand to test your skill level along with a archery range. The staff are very friendly and the facilities are clean with the best skyline view of Calgary.

One of the nicest trap clubs I've ever been to . I was told by a guy that's shot them all in North America. That it has one of the best backgrounds and views . Great staff and really friendly.

Fantastic facility - organized, convenient (voice activated target throwers), and professional. Pricing is very reasonable, and they sell trap load ammo (including gauges outside 12) for great prices. They also sell a few shotguns, and many accessories including chokes. Staff is very friendly and accomdating - newbies should not be intimidated if curious about this facility. A great place to spend an afternoon.

Really Great Range with Great People. Beginner Friendly.Note: In the Summer, they open til late on Wednesdays.I'm new to clay shooting at a range, and the staff here was very friendly and helpful. And focuses on their pride: safety. The range staff gave me a tour of the shooting lines, how to use the machines, and checked my firearm and ammo. They even gave me some tips on how to shoot trap.Note for Trap: There are labels at some card readers that indicate that the shooting line is special. As in, the line is setup for straight away targets, Doubles and such. Please do watch the YouTube Safety Video. Search for AHEIA.That will familiarize you with some range rules. The most surprising thing about this place is the price.Trap and Skeet are the same price, around $10 per round of 25. (Members have a even lower special price.)Which is quite reasonable, considering the cost of 25 Clays would be around $5 for an average person. The Ammo Price is just unbeatable.I believe they only sell Target Loads. (Intended for the Range)But they are the best prices I've seen in the Calgary Area.Wide selection too, so you can try them out.Unfortunately, no additional discount if you buy a full box (flat).Even then, it is still cheaper than buying a full flat from most other places I've visited.(Photo Attached from Late Sept 2022)They got the discounts from the high volume, but they passed down the saving to the shooters, instead of into their own pocket. And I really respect that. And enjoy the low prices.Only complaints:They ain't too close to the city, since I'm in the North of the City…But hey, safety is the priority. And their Shotgun Rental Fleet is quite small. No Side by Side either. The ones I tried were a pair of Browning's.
