R&D Bandsaws

Tremendous, really great company to deal with. I e-mailed with a question about bandsaw blades I purchased about a year ago, and received a phone call following the weekend I messaged. The entire explanation was on the back of the bandsaw blade packaging... Instead, the gentleman took the time to explain the tensioning process, explain what tools you do and don't need, and to discuss future blade options regarding my particular machine. An update on the blades I purchased. Yet to use the $25 little ripper blade I purchased since the $8 clearance blade is meeting all my cutting needs including 5 hardwoods. Cuts need some sanding to smooth but as a weekly user of my bandsaw

I picked up a bandsaw blade at this store today. The gentleman that was running the store was able to quickly able to determine the hardness, tooth count, spacing etc and make me a custom blade size as I have an antique machine that requires it. They also quickly repaired my old blade which had snapped. I would definitely come here for further purchases.

Great service, fulfillment and knowledge. It is great to speak with people who care about their service and products. Even better when it is a Canadian Company. They were very helpful over the phone and did not push the most expensive items. Inquired about my needs, mentioned what their customers in similar situations purchase. This is a small family business, so one is dealing directly with people both knowledgeable and passionate about bandsaws. I live in the Maritimes, so deal with them by phone and internet, and they have consistently gone far beyond the usual business in providing absolutely outstanding customer service. Orders for custom length blades are filled within less than 24 hours, and shipped immediately. They are more than helpful in guiding less sophisticated customers like me. And they are a small local business. I am not in the habit of posting reviews, (indeed I think this is my first on Google), but this company is so far ahead of most that I feel constrained to recognise them.

Just had one of R&D's 1/4 Swedish Silicon blades break. Not broken on the weld. Double checked the order date

Ordered from them a few times and usually i am happy, but not this time. One of my brand new blades broke at the weld, I called was informed they guarantee the welds but i had to send it in to be fixed and not replaced. Im not close to town so its a hassle for me to drive all the way to the post office, waste snd hour of work tondrive there and back, pay for shipping from my pocket to mail in my blade, then wait a week or so to have them fix it and then have it returned to me. They guarantee the welds, but on a 30$ ish blade you would think they would just send out a new one and avoid the hassle for customers in my position.So for that i give 2 stars, not sure. I will buy from them again

Great quality band saw blades and customer support. I had a question about a blade and I got very helpful feedback.

I bought a bandsaw used on Facebook Marketplace. It came with two blades brand new in the package. But they didnt fit the saw and i had no receipt. So i was looking around to buy a blade and i called R&D. We got talking on the phone and i told them that i had these blades and they didn't fit and it turned out it was their brand. So they said bring them in and we will fix them just pay the difference. They really hooked me up and fixed the problem. Full 5 stars.

Buying blades for a new saw and the morning after placing the order their customer service team called to get the details on the saw I was buying the blades for. They recommended a more suitable selection. This is great customer service. Thanks
