My child started at asasa acedamy since kindergarten and will continue until grade six. I have done research among many schools in and around the area. I have compared class sizes and the level of education which made my decision to attend Asasa Acedamy an easy one. Class sizes are small with about 12 kids per teacher. The level of math taught at Asasa Acedamy compared to other schools is impressive. In comparison to what I was looking for an education program Asasa Acedamy meet all the necessary criteria. The teachers have been very easy to communicate with where we worked together. There has been some hiccups but the overall foundation is definitely in place. I understand, as with many schools, there is room for growth but, In conjunction with working with the teachers, I am confident that my child is receiving a great level of education.

My little brother has been going to this school for majority of his elementary experience, I can easily say that his sense of communication and english has improved drastically compared to other schools (english is his second language) His teachers have been extremely supportive and take time with his english which many teachers in the past had rushed it in order for him to keep up with the other students. I appreciate the fact that they care and take the extra effort in each student to make sure that they are set for academic success in their future. Though I have a few suggestions for the school to take into consideration, access to Physical education teacher would help promote the children to stay active and take a break from the long hours of focus. I understand that the martial arts program is very fun and exciting to many, but majority of calgary schools have access to physical education therefore I believe that this should be added. Nonetheless this is a great school .

My kids been attending NW camps since JK and we are very happy with the school, because of the small classes and effective communication with the teachers through the school's app. The only thing we didn't appreciate this year was the leaving of the teachers in the middle of the school year, almost 3 teachers left this year and kids had to re-adjust with the new teachers... fees are reasonable for the building and the facility from inside, NW camps is not a new building and has a very small windows! My kids really love the school and they go everyday happy & excited!

I taught at Asasa Academy for two years and enjoyed it very much! I taught at the Pinetown location as well as the Airdrie location and learned so much from both areas! Asasa Academy’s classrooms are very diverse. The students come from many different backgrounds which allows for a variety of learning opportunities and experiences to be brought forward. Additionally, the students are coming to school for the first time as they step foot into their new pre-kindergarten or kindergarten classroom and the growth that occurs within them throughout the year is phenomenal! The students are introduced to new items, activities, routines, friends, and adults. They start the year with drawing scribbles but by the end of the year, they are writing beautiful letters! Asasa prioritizes literacy and mathematics but also integrates important conversations on the topics of love, friendship, and kindness. The students are also shown numerous experiments to give them an idea of how their world works around them. I unfortunately had to leave Asasa to further pursue my master’s degree. I am very grateful for the opportunity I was given working at their school.

23 Feb at 17:22I had an opportunity to serve as a substitute teacher at the Asasa Private School Academy NW campus. I realized that the school atmosphere was positive and classrooms were well managed and equipped with necessary resources. I found that the students were well-mannered and internally motivated for learning. The staff in the NW campus were very cooperative and helpful

Good school, and friendly staff. I always liked to see homework coming home on daily basis, I also liked the spelling bee contest because my daughter enjoyed it.Martial arts is one of the good activities as well. French, music and the homeroom teachers were good to kids, and it's easy to message them on daily basis.

My child never got to attend the school. They exploited me and my family during a difficult time. Requested for a refund of the fee and never got it even though we asked to pull it weeks before resumption.

This is one of the worst run schools I have ever heard of.Teacher turn over rate is nearly 80% SO FAR THIS YEAR. They have 2 locations and both are run by the same family. The new principal is one of the least approachable and disrespectful people I have ever met. She clearly has favourite students and refuses to deal with other students, parents cannot speak to the owners and the list of board of directors remains a mystery. We NEED to know who is running this school. The secretary is one of the rudest people I have ever met and clearly thinks that she is in charge. She is so misinformed to the educational system that she actually told me that middle school teachers would have to be paid more than elementary teachers, and this is why they won't go past grade 6. THIS IS UNTRUE! Teachers are paid by years of education and experience not by grade level. This school is a farce! Do not waste your money sending your child here. All the owners want is your money, they owners do not care about child welfare. They have uncertified teachers working at school, the before/after school program is supervised by unlicensed people and NOT enough of them for the number of children in attendance.Do not send your child here. They may not be open next year!!Like I said, one of the worst schools in Calgary.DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE!!!

ASASA is a great school for improving students' literacy and numeracy skills. Less numbers of students in each class allow teachers to give quality time to students and a greater focus on the weak areas of students helps them improve a lot. Frequent communication with the parents about their child's needs and strengths, keep parents well-informed. Also, performance on projects, tests, and quizzes is shared with the parents throughout the year. ASASA is a true reflection of its motto, Learn today

I am writing this review to express my utter disappointment with the way the ASASA academy handled a distressing incident involving my friend's son. The incident itself was distressing enough, but the lack of empathy, accountability, and a simple apology from the school has been truly disheartening. My friend's son was unfortunately left behind on the bus when the driver was unaware that he was still asleep. The bus driver proceeded to drive all the way to their house without realizing the child was still onboard. It was only when the child woke up and found himself alone on the bus that he was able to alert someone for help.Thankfully, a kind-hearted lady found the child and recognized the urgency of the situation. The child informed her that he didn't know where he lived, prompting her to contact the police immediately. The police were able to track down the child's mother but did nothing more for their family, sadly. And the mother and father of the child were distraught for days finding and collecting herself evidence to figure out what happened with their child knocking on doors of the neighbourhood begging them to help them find footage through their home cameras they had, including the bus route and surveillance footage. This incident could have had far more serious consequences, and we are grateful that it was resolved without harm to the child. However, what is truly disheartening is the response from the academy. Despite the school's clear negligence in ensuring the safety of the children, they have shown a complete lack of accountability and empathy. They did not even fire or give any consequences to the bus driver or the teacher who was with the children on the bus. My friend, as the child's mother, rightfully expected a sincere apology from the school, acknowledging the gravity of the situation and their role in it. Unfortunately, even a simple apology letter has been denied. It is deeply concerning that an educational institution entrusted with the well-being of our children fails to take responsibility for their mistakes. Leaving a child behind on a bus is a serious breach of trust and should not be taken lightly. The school's refusal to address the issue with an apology is a failure to recognize the emotional distress caused to the child and his family. As members of the community, we entrust the school with the care and education of our children, expecting a high level of professionalism, accountability, and empathy. In this instance, the school has let us down. It is crucial for them to acknowledge their mistake, take immediate action to prevent such incidents from happening in the future, and provide the support and reassurance needed by the affected family.I hope that by sharing this review, the school administration becomes aware of the importance of acknowledging their errors, rectifying their policies and procedures, and providing the support that the affected family deserves. It is only through sincere accountability and commitment to improvement that the trust of parents and the community can be regained. This is something no parent or child should go through. The parents should contact the minister of education and minister of child services.
