I love their garden and water fountain. Great place to visit with family. We can spend 3 to 4 hours there. Kids will enjoy sure.Every season is awesome there.I personally like summer time to visit there. Variety of flowers we can see over there. For wedding photography great place.

Alberta Legislature Building
Iconic building that houses the Alberta government Legislature where the elected members of parliament do government stuff. The building is beautiful but what goes on inside is not always that beautiful. If you have a chance you should take the tour of the building. The building is over 100 years old and recently had a major outside renovation of the cupola so it is looking great.August 19, 2019 another nice visit to this place.

They started building the Alberta Legislature building in 1907 at the site of Old Fort Edmonton, so it has always been at the heart of Edmonton. The architecture draws inspiration from a number of influences, which I think it gives it a classic look that is not easily dated. Much of the building material is Canadian. There are frequent free tours of the building that are worth taking. The grounds are large and beautiful. The building and grounds are especially worth visiting on holidays. On Canada Day it is very crowded with many children playing in the fountains, and during the winter there is a large Christmas tree and lots of lights.

Beautiful building and grounds. Love the Christmas lights in the winter. They really brighten up the night! The pools, fountains and gardens are lovely and refreshing in the summer. That said, if you're not able bodied there are big chunks of the grounds that are largely inaccessible due to hills/stairs/lack of public parking - this is especially the case on the south lawn.

Beautiful & classic North American government building. The free tours are excellent - the tour guides are very knowledgeable and friendly. The building itself features great paintings, portraits, decor, and history.

I love learning about history. Alberta's is one I'm less familiar with and it was very interesting in context. I also loved the architecture tidbits as that is also fascinating to me.The advice about extra time to find the right entrance is accurate. Our tour guide Sam was great!

A lovely way to spend a summer day!The grounds are beautiful and the building is quiet nice.Take the guided tour of the Legislature itself as it is very educational and still fun. There is often a few food carts near the fountain, and the wading fountain is fun for the little ones.

Beautiful architecture to be sure, but also very important to attend demonstrations here when they're for a cause in which you believe. Generally a safe and friendly environment regardless of whether you're just walking around and enjoying the sights and waterfalls, or there during a demonstration. Enjoy! :-)
