Mr. Battin cares about his clients like no other lawyer will. His remarkable compassion for my situation reduced my anxiety and assured me I was in excellent hands. Mr. Battin went above and beyond for me and so did his Law Clerk Laura, adding an extra layer of confidence in my case while working along side them. After approaching many lawyers for help prior to retaining Mr. Battin I had already felt defeated. He took me on very last minute and took all my fears and stress away. Not very professional at all ! Doesn’t like to listen & when you try and explain yourself he just hangs up… he also talks down towards woman and likes to fat shame pregnant woman. Don’t recommend at all.

James did an amazing job with me and for me and my nephew(son) ! He knows what he is doing and gets the job done, but you have to do your part too. He doesn’t stand for lazy clients which I completely understand. Thanks to James, for helping me get custody of my nephew (son)!

Very Hard working Lawyer if you are willing to work with him not against him . He might be a hard nosed lawyer but he gets the job done but be prepared to work just as hard as he is working for you which means getting your own ducks in a row don't expect him to do all your work for you. Work to defend yourself and let him do his job in court. He is the only lawyer that I know of that works late into the night.

if you are a legal aid recipient, he will ignore the whole, innocent-until-proven-guilty thing, and will instead presume you are guilty and work from that perspective. He will not listen to a word you say, he will constantly interrupt, and allow distractions from the phone, or his secretary. He will even get up and leave the room while you are trying to explain your side. James Battin's unprofessionalism is unsurpassed.

James Battin has demonstrated to be an incompetent lawyer, he does not even have as much as mental competence; which definitely would compromise his reasoning skills in any situation or circumstance. He definitely cannot evaluate or identify the types of people problems claims were issues involved in a client's situation although he will rest assure you he certainly can. He lacks in analyzing legal and factual elements of the client's problem, claim or issue. Completely unprofessional. Hardly does any of his legal work himself. His office is incredibly unsanitary and is a massive fire hazard with confidential files stacked all over the floors. Stops doing work for you while you're still a client and then tries to blame you. Lazy. Unprofessional. Dirty. Not to mention him speaking to other clients while I'm in the room. Sorry to whichever men/women had their charges discussed right infront of me. I now know quite a bit about a few of his other clients legal matters. Which is incredibly illegal.
