Cozzy Coverings

The most obscure experience... This afternoon I answered my door to two older men, one of which entered into my doorway before even introducing who he is. I had to stop him before entering more as I had no idea who they were and why he was entering my home unprompted. After asking who they are and telling them they have the wrong address he told me he worked at cozy coverings and was here for a service call. It took me a few times to insist that I didn't know what they were talking about for them to realize they have the wrong address. As a young female, it was very unsettling that this grown man was letting himself into my home without confirming he had the correct address, and without any kind of introduction. I hope no one else has to experience this unprofessional and intrusive situation.

We purchased curtain rods which are wave style and they were overpriced, they wont let you know the exact price up until the point you are about to pay. They rush through your meetings and dont work professionally. When rods were installed, they did a very bad job of leaving uneven carriers which makes it difficult for wave patterns to appear. And installation is not free which they tell its free, but its not. Will not recommend this shop to anyone, very bad experience.

Huge selection of all different sizes, and styles of curtains, valances, hardware for curtains. They will also order in, make special orders and hem curtains as needed. Staff are super friendly and helpful, it would have taken me hours instead of minutes to find anything.

Got curtains installed at my apartment.Luckily even with the pandemic, Ted and I were able to communicate and get everything I was looking for. Got me a good curtain with liner to keep the sun out since I work nights. And helped me get curtain rods all setup. Got the installer to install them and all was organized within a week. Great service, great price and glad everything worked out. Thank you for the great service and curtains!

Called a couple of weeks ago to make an appointment with Sheila, for an in-home consultation. The day before our appointment, I received a call saying Sheila was sick, and that she couldn't make it. So I asked if I could reschedule. I was told that Sheila would get back in touch with me. I didn't hear back for several days, so I called back to make an appointment. Again I was told I'd get a call back, but never got a call back. So I called again a third time, and was told I'd get a call back. Guess what? Never got a call back. It's as though they simply don't want my business. They were also pretty unpleasant over the phone. I'd rank this as definitely some of the worst customer service I've ever received. Meanwhile, I was able to get a hold with Gotcha Covered, another company in Ottawa that offers window treatments. They were extremely pleasant and are happy to help. I would recommend Gotcha Covered to anyone.

The owner Ted is very reasonable and the vertical blinds that I bought were fairly priced, even $350 less than a competitor who market themselves as keeping prices low for their customers. When there was a miscommunication, he went out of his way to ensure that I was completely satisfied. I will certainly shop there again and refer my friends to his store.

I was willing to buy many sets of curtains, sheers and installation from this store to cover the windows of my new home. I wanted to get the measurements done correctly before purchasing. The owner (Ted) came to take the measurements, as part of my downpayment of $ 113 towards my curtains. I later learned that they did not have enough quantity for 4 of the curtains I liked, and one of the shears that I liked (which was going to cover 3 areas of the house). I asked for a return on my deposit as it was not my fault they did not have enough fabric in stock and it would not have been fair for me to settle for second or third favourite options. The owner refused. I had gone to the store to choose a different fabric for the living room - patio - dining room, but the favorite fabrics I pointed to, they did not have sufficient quantities of. At the time of the window measurements, I had not known they would be out of stock .... unhappy with his lack of effort in resolving the situation. At least a partial refund would have been fair! This was not great customer service by the owner. Pam was a great employee, she was very helpful in explaining the various types of fabric options. It is a shame that the owner was unfair. When the store cannot re-stock, the buyer should not lose their deposit! As simple as that.

Overpriced! Cozzy quoted me nearly $1,000.00 for 2 blinds for my kitchen windows. I went to Home Depot and got both blinds (exact same color and style) for $349.0 total.I do like their curtain rods though, again I paid over $400.00 for 4 bedroom window rods, but it was worth the price because their rods are good quality and one solid piece (no cheap extenders).

I love Cozy Covering I always referred to it as “Curtains Village “ they have tons of already made and custom curtains. If you don’t find your window coverings there, you probably not ready to buy.

I am a repeat customer and having just had an installation completed today, it needs to be said that Cozzy Coverings does not disappoint. From beginning to end, quality service and products, looks great! Satisfied customer.
