I've spent alot of time in hospitals all over, but this one is incredible! The staff are so polite and helpful and make you feel like your a part of the family. When I first arrived in the main entrance I didn't know where I was going, a doctor seen me and not only directed me where to go but took me there. The staff are what make this place great!!

Such a disappointing experience here. Was seen for 12 or 13 visits before being discharged and they said I had reached my limit as far as I would recover. Had heard great things before going and was superbly disappointed.

The Transitional and lifelong care clinic is amazing. I have almost nothing negative to say about it. Dr. Cassidy is very knowledge about CP, spina bifida ect, and caring. She really gives you all the options and lets you decide in the end. She (or the nurse practitioner) is also willing to fill out forms and grant applications for free. She also has good understanding the non-medical issues disabled people face. The social worker is good at funding applications and helps you plan to be independent. The occupational therapist let me try out equipment prior to purchasing it. SLP was good too.I think all teenagers who are eligible should be referred ASAP. I transitioned to Parkwood from Thames Valley at 15, and it was a great decision. I love that I am empowered to be part of the care team.

I was a patient at park wood back in 2018 for mental health relations. However, they were kind and there for me but to wear some house arrest looking bracelet every single day even though I wasn't at risk to myself. It was triggering, the nurses I had were always super kind to me. I think about them all often.Thank you all for everything that you do. Keep saving lives.

I take my mom here and the care she receives has been very good. The reason for my rating is to call attention to the parking machine that is located at the entrance of the parking. I simply cannot imagine a more hateful and inappropriate machine for a geriatric hospital. Almost every single person has to get out of their car and deal with this machine (whatever the weather) due to its complete lack of ergonomics (it's shaped like a brick), poorly lit and misleading instructions and the fact that it demands flat rate payment before entering the parking. And to repeat, almost every car is driven by a person that is very old. It has been this way for at least 2 years, and I am mystified as to why it has not been fixed yet. Apparently there is a new company under contract to replace the machine, however I tried to call them to verify and none of their phone numbers work, so we're off to a good start!

After recovering from major surgery, my 90 year old father had to stay at Parkwood pending transfer to long term care. After the medical staff at the LTC assessed him upon arrival, he was immediately sent to Emergency with wounds the family and doctor were unaware of and an infection that was borderline septic. His external ulcers were not even dressed. The staff at the LTC home say they have never had anyone arrive in that kind of terrible condition. This horrible neglect was address with Parkwood who offered nothing but an apology for his care.If you ever have to have a loved one in this institution, be sure to keep the bedside chair constantly occupied by a trusted family member.

Staff is great. Very long wait time to be helped. I am on water pills and they made me wait over an hour. Respond time is 15 min to an hour, Not the staffs fault. They are understaffed all the time.

I can't complain about anything, after all the friendly and wonderful services they have provided for me. As a bonus, the surroundings in the area are beautiful. They have a nice, outside walking area that goes through some of this scenery on their property; if you are interested in more, there is a massive forest area behind with trails to walk and hike on. I only took a couple of pictures of the main hospital entrance (taken late October).

Recently I had a wonderful experience with nurses, OTs, PTs, and other staff on the 5th floor!I am very grateful for their care and professionalism. In particular, Dr. Martyniak is the most excellent doctor who is kind, flexible, and good at communication. Nurse Teresa, Suzy, and Jubin are excellent as well.Highly recommend this facility.
