Great location on beautiful Pickerel River!Enjoyed our stay at the resort, rooms were clean and reasonably priced. Unfortunately they do not have a restaurant on site, which would have been convenient. Overall highly recommend.

Our 3rd time staying in this lovely resort. We stayed at the hearty cabin with 3 bedrooms. We had a fabulous weekend of boating, fishing and sightseeing. Hoping to experience one of the fly-in island cottages next time. Lionel and Ladina are great hosts.

We camped in the French River and on our way out we booked a room very last minute . We got a room in the motel part of the resort and plan to book one of the cabins next year. The room was very cozy,clean with a renovated washroom. This place is so quiet and beautiful. Not having wi-fi was ok with us as we like to use our phones for photos only when up north on vacation.We definitely recommend this beautiful peaceful hidden gem.

The staff do a very good job helping in any way they can, they’re a very kind group of people who ensure your stay is perfect. After asking to refill on propane the staff immediately got to it and delivered. They were even so kind enough to let us drive up to our cabin to drop off our luggage instead of walking back and forth from the parking lot. Each day we were greeted with a smile and are very thankful for the staff at Tornadoes for even making the rainy days fun.

Very nice place for outdoors enjoyment. Fishing is great. Cottages are clean. Been to this resort 4 times in total. There is a small beach there for swimming. Service is very good.

Stayed here twice now, October 2022 and May 2023 in cabin 9. Love the rustic old style cabin right on the water. Brought my own boat and docked right out front. Great value compared to other places I’ve stayed. Having a wood burning fireplace inside beats a tv anyway. Look forward to going back again!

We stayed at Tornado's for three days in summer 2022, in one of the motel-style rooms, steps away from a beautiful lake. These rooms looked they had been recently renovated and the bathrooms are particularly nice. We rented a canoe and kayak for a day (for an affordable fee), went swimming, and enjoyed the stars at night. Overall it was a relaxing experience. The owners are attentive and pleasant to interact with. Pet-friendly, but there is not really an easily accessible hiking trail if your dog needs long walks.

Great place to stay in the winter. we stayed in the lodge, rooms were a bit small, but the whole stay was quite inexpensive. will be heading back this winter!
