Our entire family - extended family included, are so happy that our mother is at Chartwell. The grounds and interior are beautiful, clean and cheerful. Moving into Chartwell was seamless with the assistance of Adaire, Neil, Monica and the Chartwell team. Everyone has helped our mother to feel welcome and comfortable.Much thanks and appreciation to everyone.

It was 2017 when my dad became a widower. He tried to live alone for one year and we transitioned him to Chartwell Retirement Home. This was the best thing we could have done! The staff became his new family" and looked after him with loving and caring people. We have never had a complaint from him about anything. He feels at home and comfortable. Would recommend Chartwell Robert Speck for anyone looking for a place for a loved one! I've seen Angela in action with the people living her and she shows respect and kindness to everyone! My father is a resident. The amenities are very good and the facility is well maintained. The spacious ground floor is great for socializing and activities. There’s often an activity happening when I go to visit my father. The staff there are great and are VERY patient. My father is not the easiest resident but the staff remain friendly and very accommodating.

I had an excellent experience while working as a Volunteer in Chartwell Robert Speck Retirement Residences in 2022-23. I was very impressed with amazing staff at the residence who always worked tirelessly for its residents 24x7.I was given comprehensive orientation and training for assisting the residents by exceptionally talented and very passionate Program Manager , Nadine . S. She leaves no stone unturned for her residents and is very caring, compassionate and competent in her execution of various programs and activities for physical, social, emotional and spiritual development and well being of her residents. I learned a lot from Nadine while working as a volunteer and would recommend other aspiring volunteers to serve the residents of this residence. I felt fulfilled as a volunteer in this residence and it was one of the most memorable part of my life.Finally, I commend the entire team of this residence for doing great work for the community and wish them all the best.Jagjit

Chartwell Robert Speck MIssissauga management staff put a whole new meaning to Retirement Home/community.Shantel Prashad did not only hold our family’s hands to go through painful process of accepting immediate aging needs and day to day medical requirements of our beloved parents but respectfully and patiently help us regain our parents confidence / reassurance that there’s light of hope, better living and healing at the end of the tunnel. She is true professional with care and real compassion to all the residence. She put our concerns and inhibition to rest.Niel Montalban, we are so humbled to work with this seasoned General Manager. His passion in making things better, healthcare leadership and professionalism wins the heart of the family. His guidance and unceasing support to the entire team is evidently seen in the day to day operation at the community.Victor Acharya, food is a universal language and he speaks them all. His approachable demeanour and welcoming smile calms our parents unsettled heart. Healthy and hearty meal he specially plan and prepare to nourish their residence body and spirit.Total experience in finding a safe, holistic, and respectful place for your beloved parents is challenging and daunting process. My mom recently had a complete knee replacement just months short of her 90th birthday. For respite care we selected Chartwell Robert Speck and we never regretted it. My mom enjoyed her spacious accommodation, and the medical care she received during the first few days of her visit - as her vitals were checked on a regular bases and her meals were brought to her during the first few days after surgery. After a few days, she was able to go and enjoy meals in the dining room and there was always variety and plenty to eat. Her apartment was spacious and quiet and she had all the comforts of home - we were even able to add her favourite Rogers channels so that she wouldn't miss anything during her respite. The home itself is well appointed and the grounds are beautiful. My mom was able to visit with old friends and meet new ones during her short stay. Anyone who came to visit, loved the retirement residence and commented that they would love to move there when they retired or if they needed a place to go and convalesce. Thank you to Angela, Adaire and Jamiee who were always very attentive and did everything they could to make my mom's stay as pleasant as possible for her.

I have done my show of memorable tunes many times at Chartwell's Robert Speck location. I always find the experience very satisfying because of the engagement with your seniors. I miss working there as it is one of my favourite residences whether the job is outside in the garden area or inside by the dining room. I look forward to seeing the folks there again. The staff are always on hand and actually at times participate with the residents. When I see the Chartwell commercial, it always reminds me of the Robert Speck location.

After a 30 day respite here at Chartwell Robert Speck Retirement Residence, we (her children) are relieved mom's overall health and well-being has improved and mom agreed to move in on a permanent basis. A big plus mom is enjoying / eating three well prepared meals a day (mom enjoys the food!). A big heartfelt THANK YOU to the staff (you are great!) and I am happy mom is making friends and has people to speak with. The staff here and fellow community members have assisted my mother to transition in. I sleep much MUCH better knowing my mother is safe in a great environment.

My husband's mother has been a resident at Chartwell Robert Speck for the last four years. She has often commented on how happy she is with her suite and appreciates how well her own furnishings fit the decor and allow her to enjoy a familiar setting. The layout of the building is simple and ideal for the residents to navigate from their suite to the dining room , the wellness centre, the library ,the bistro or for a walk in the beautiful gardens.Chartwell has a very hard working staff who treat residents with respect, kindness and dignity. Family member involvement is welcomed, questions are answered and every effort is made to fulfill requests.Whenever I visit, it's wonderful to see so many of the residents involved in the various activities offered and as an animal lover I'm especially pleased to see some of the seniors with their beloved pets.Mum prefers to use her kitchenette for breakfast but enjoys the meals in the dining room for lunch and dinner. Our family has joined mum for special meals and the process is so simple. Reserve in advance at the front desk, and pay for the extra meals or bill to the resident's account. It's also important to know that staff will call mum if she does not come down to the dining room and will give her the option of room service if needed.Due to Mum's fragile health, I've had the opportunity to visit frequently and I've come to appreciate the unique world of seniors and the challenges they face. The staff at Chartwell have the patience and understanding needed to help with those challenges and it's been a comfort to know that mum is well looked after.

I have had my Mother at Chartwell Robert Speck for a year now. She is a complicated case with dementia and other serious health challenges that eventually confined her to her bed. The staff have been so wonderful with her, very caring and attentive. Due to their stringent protocols they have managed a safe and comprehensive environment that I feel has kept my Mother safe and healthy and kept my anxiety down through the current challenges that we are all facing at this time.My only regret is that she didn’t move in sooner when she could’ve enjoyed the amenities and socializing with the other residents, it would have made her life more enjoyable without a doubt.
