Sun's BBQ Restaurant
Only a few Hong Kong style cafe still hanging around offering some delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. Their BBQ meats are amazing!!!! Freshly made everyday..Lunch menu includes some classic HK, BBQ meats veggie, and rice, beef noodle soups, and your milk tea! Delicious!Service is incredibly fast and friendly.

Food was really good, we got beef with broccoli, walnut prawn and veg, and a chicken black bean hot plate. The reason for the average review is that the service was particularly poor. We waited for almost an hour for our food and there were only 3 other tables in the restaurant. They were busy with take out orders but it was still frustrating as we had our young kids with us and we had to rush dinner. The dishes are pricey enough $18-20 each. There were some pictures on the menu which helped us decide what to order. What we ordered was very tasty. Would probably just do take out next time.

Been doing take out food here and I noticed their decent to large servings. The BBQ duck and roast pig are my favorites, it will not disappoint.Food is freshly cooked and their duck is flavorful, juicy, buttery and not tough to eat. The chowmein noodles is crispy and the sauce with the vegetables, shrimps and squid are deliciousThey can be busy during peak times, but are timely on ordering and pick ups. I usually call ahead to order, which gives them ample time to prepare. Food is warm, and servers are friendly. I recommend to anyone who loves Chinese food.Their kitchen is open and you can observe staff wearing mask, gloves while food is prepared while you wait.Lots of parking outside while waiting or you can wait inside while observing social distancing.

Restaurant is very chaotic and difficult to get a table unless you speak Chinese. However, their BBQ is amazing. Love their Char-siu pork and duck. Probably the most authentic place in Calgary to get your dose of Chinese BBQ meats.

The Thai chicken was disappointing, not spicy enough, even a bit bitter.All else taste good, especially the stirfried beef with ginger slices and green onions. Beef was super tender, coated with perfect amount of sauce

Delicious delicious food! Probably the best place in Calgary for any bbq meat dishes. Highly recommend the sweet and sour short ribs, and the black pepper squid! The sizzling beef plate was also incredible!

The food was good, especially for the price. We ordered the combo for 2 but it can easily feed 3. The restaurant was very clean and very spacious. Service was also very fast. Food tastes like your typical good Chinese restaurant, nothing special but nothing wrong either. I will definitely come back to try the other choices for the combos esp2cially since it's so close to my house.

Sun's BBQ Restaurant
First time in Calgary and had to eat some Chinese BBQ. Sun's BBQ did not disappoint. I ordered the roast duck and roast pork with rice. It was a decently large portion and pork was very crispy. I also ordered the baked pork chop on tomato rice which reminded me of my childhood. The HK milk tea was authentically delicious. Service was very quick and pleasant. I would recommend Sun's for their tasty bbq and HK style dishes.

It's been ages since I've been to Sun's BBQ because there are so many other great Asian restaurants closer to my neighborhood. And, just like this place, two of our favorite spots are owned by Taste of Asia Group: T.Pot China Bistro and Cafe 100% YYC. They also own: Calgary Court, Misai Japa Cafe, Forbidden City, Pebble Street and H.K. Cafe. It's amazing that one company can operate so many popular restaurants that are all unique and not a chain. If you like Sun's BBQ, you might want to give the other places a try as well.
