Style Encore - Mississauga

Brought some clothes to sell, all in trend and barely used. First they told me they were closing at 5, it was 3:15 when I came in, they seemed like they didn’t want to buy anything and were pretty rude. When I came back to see if they were interested they didn’t take anything and said the clothes were « too worn » and not what they wanted. Rather go to Plato’s Closet.

First time coming to this store. I walked in and was greeted with a smile from the girl behind the cash register. Wonderful customer service. Very kind, considerate and patient. She explained everything to me step by step. They did not accept the clothing I brought in to sell, but the girl was very gracious about it. She even explained what styles they were looking for. I will be back. I was very impressed with their customer service. I ended up donating the clothing to the Value Village, which was in the same plaza. The location is great.

This has got to be my favourite store! The staff are all so helpful cheerful and pleasant with the customers. They always have new items coming in I don’t think there has been 1 time I’ve went there without leaving with something if amazing quality for an extremely great deal. Everything is priced so low when their merchandise is next to brand new. If your a woman and there’s anything you need the chances are you will find just the perfect thing at style encore!

Waste of time!!!I booked the appointment and took more than 25 clothes plus a few pair of shoes. They kept it for an hour by saying they would check and let me know what they thought would sell at their location. When I returned, I was told they could not keep anything. Until I asked what the reason was, I was told that it would not be sold at their store because of the condition of the items, such as being too old (absolutely not true because a couple of them still had the tags on and the clothes were only worn once or twice maximum). I could tell the clothes were not even checked as they were folded as I gave them. They would keep two pairs, almost brand new, and I was offered pennies which I decided not to sell). I was curious to see how much they charge for selling the items; they make almost 99% of the profit and give not close to even 1% to the seller behind their business existence. If someone is going to pay 15$ for an item to buy from a thrift store which they could get brand new, why would someone come to a thrift store for the clothes they are keeping (not sure how they determine the age of the clothes) but they are returning the items which are hardly worn? After this experience, I would donate or, if anything, try selling them at online marketplaces because this store would not appreciate the people bringing the items and contributing to their store. Is this an issue with all the thrift stores? I don’t know, but this store does. On top of that, not very friendly faces welcome the people coming to their store.I read some good reviews for this store, and maybe those people were there to buy, or the store asked their friends or family members to go online and write good reviews, which is very much possible, but the majority of the sellers I can see share the same experiences. Please visit and see if you get the same experience and if you don't, then hopefully, the honest reviews are making some difference.

I went to this establishment upon opening on a weekend a few weeks ago. I was the first and only customer in the store. When I arrived the lady at the counter asked if I was selling and to which I responded yes and she asked if I had an appointment. I said no. She widened her eyes while she looked at her computer screen as though this was an inconvenience and I asked her if this was a problem. She responded no but that they have appointments and I might have to wait. I said no problem (still no customers in the store). She advised it would be 45 mins so I walked through the store. About five mins later my items were processed and they took nothing. While I was browsing I could hear the lady talking about me to whom I presume was the owner (who seemed very nice). No customers came through at all while I was there, so I'm not sure why there was so much attitude for a quick walk in to sell items. I also called the other day to ask if they are still only taking appointments and they said next available in two weeks. No thanks. You should accept walk ins at this rate, no other style encores I'm familiar with deny walk ins.

Today was my first time visiting Style Encore Mississauga and I had a wonderful experience. Bella, Jackie, and Julia were all so friendly and welcoming.

Wonderful place to buy second hand items! Found a beautiful dress for my sister's prom for only $36! If you go, ask for Bella! She's very kind and goes above and beyond for her customers. Thank you for making 2 girls very happy :)

Masses to choose from. Prices are OK. Some clothing is very outdated and not in great condition for a “consignment” store.When it comes to consigning here - I was insulted by being told that my quality clothing was “out of fashion” - clearly they know little about quality items as they NEVER go out of fashion.I wouldn’t shop here again out of principle.

Lovely shopping experience! Prices were awesome for quality pieces that I was able to find. Customer service was great too. The lady working was very kind and sweet. I will definitely be returning soon!
