Cuisines West Island

(Yes - I’m posting identical reviews to multiple sites. I’m just very excited about my new kitchen).Working with West Island Kitchen (Cuisines West Island) was a great experience and the result speaks for itself.My wife and I were referred to Derrick and Gemma by friends who had worked with them on a much smaller project and had a great experience. My wife and I have no experience with renovations and have no eye for design, so we decided to give them a try.The process could not have been easier. Derrick took our priorities into account and even found excellent compromises when my wife and I disagreed about a few specific elements. The design he created was amazing - beyond functional and (as you can see) beautiful. Gemma has a great eye for aesthetics and walked us through a marathon session of selecting colours, paints, countertops, tiles, etc while our 1-year-old did his best to destroy their showroom. My personal hell would consist solely of mixing and matching nearly identical colours, but Gemma and Derrick made it (dare I say) tolerable.My wife and I love cooking, but it became such a chore when we moved into our new house with a non-functional kitchen. Our new kitchen has been up and running for about 1 month and cooking has become a pleasure again. We just hosted my in-laws for a week, which included cooking 6 straight dinners for 9 people, and it could not have been more enjoyable (strictly speaking about the cooking aspect, of course). Everything is in the right place, the flow between focal points feels natural, and the workspaces are comfortable. Oh yeah, it also looks nice.I cannot recommend West Island Kitchens enough.

Working with Cuisines West Island Kitchens was a breeze. I gave Derrick an idea of what I wanted and along with his designer, they put together a design that fits my needs perfectly. Gemma and Derrick are professionals at what they do and I would not hesitate to refer them to anyone I know. Even though 3 trusted friends recommended West Island Kitchens, we visited 8 more kitchen showrooms to get a better understanding of what products were available and a general sense of what adventure we were about to embark upon. Somewhere along the way, we educated ourselves on establishing a viable budget with a 10% buffer.Having thus done our homework, we chose to go with West Island Kitchen, where we felt welcomed from the get go and above all listened to by Stéphane, Gemma and Derrick.There was never any pressure whatsoever while we were professionally guided through the different stages from planning in their elegant showroom, to on site visit and measurements, to signing our contract after final material choices, to delivery and installation, to the final inspection.We also used the services of their recommended contractor and tiler to great satisfaction.Everyone along the way put their best effort into our project and we are genuinely thrilled with the final look and excellent use of space.If we could, we would give them a 6 star rating, however we will have to stick to the 5 star max ! Trust them and you will sleep better at night and wake up to the kitchen of your dreams…

West island kitchens is amazing! The showroom is beautiful and shows not only high-end but for every budget.Stephan is a great kitchen designer and planner. Very friendly, knows exactly what he's talking about and can cater the plan that is inside your head to your budget.

Had our entire kitchen redone and they were absolutely fantastic, Stephane and the team at WIK are brilliant in their advice, honesty and intergrity, no surprises, everything done exactly to plan, within a stipulated budget, I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

I am one not easily impressed but Cuisines West Island has impressed me. They know the meaning of good customer service, reliability and efficiency. The manufacturing of the kitchen cabinets is beautiful and the installation by François cannot be compared, he is in a class of his own. Stéphane and Gemma lead the way to a very good experience. I would highly recommend them.

Great experience from start to finish, high quality cabinets, very pleased with the end result. Owners Gemma and Derrick super nice people to work with, Gemma helped me pick out the layout and back splash looks great. Have to give the installation team a 5 star rating they did a great job. Had a few minor problems, but Derrick took care of those issues very quickly. Thanks again !!!

Cuisine West Island couldn't have been easier to deal with. From the start to the final installation everything was handled quickly and professionally. After speaking with them we knew we wanted them to do our kitchen. It was a bit expensive but totally worth it. They are busy so it took some time for the actual installation to take place. On install day 2 professionals arrived and they literally did not stop. The attention to detail was amazing. They really took the time to do everything correctly.I would definitely recommend them for your kitchen needs.

I think CWIK is top notch. Our kitchen was completed without one glitch. Gorgeous design, everyone was very professional and so competent. 6 years later I needed a hinge fixed on one door, it was taken care of in 2 days ! I highly recommend them for any renovation work.
