The entrance opens to a cute home decor shop, with items for use and display around the house. Each is designed with obvious care. And further inside, in the back, is the best café in Liverpool, Nova Scotia. Run by an ex-pat Swede, Andreas, and his Vancouverite wife (the designer of all the beautiful household items in the shop), the coffee here is splendid. Currently using Nova Scotia’s Anchor Coffee Roasters as their bean of choice, the owner-manager-baristi take the time to measure & weigh their grinds in the portafilter before tamping, time the shot with a digital timer, and have a lovely small commercial Nuova Simonelli machine that reliably produces consistently great espressos. We had flat whites, lattés, and mokas, with regular beans and decaf, and oat milk. All were excellent. We also tried their cinnamon rolls (not too far from Swedish kanelbullar) which were outstanding & fresh. We also lucked into being around when a batch of fresh-baked cookies came out of the oven and they too were heavenly.Honestly, one would never know that such a high quality third-wave café existed in this quaint & small Atlantic town, behind a home decor shop, but that’s what makes discovering it such a delight. The owners said they are in the process of opening a restaurant across the street soon, where the café operations will move and be more visible/easily seen, and that will likely only increase their popularity. We went in for coffee three times in two days and it was always busy. That says something!Tack så mycket, kaffet var utmärkt! We will absolutely be back the next time we are in NS, no doubt, and will be cheering them on from afar. Highly recommend!

Great spot for specialty coffee and beautiful home furnishings. Will be back, a lot.

We look for the best coffee at every place we stay while driving across Canada.. Main and Mersey have The best decaf oat milk Lattes anywhere and the croissants and cookies are delicious. It’s a very friendly place to sit back on the patio and relax.

This was our first visit. My hot chocolate was very chocolatey, something most coffee places don't get right. My wife had the Liverpool Fog, a less sweet, but still delicious, version of the London Fog.

Lovely vibe and great conversation. And very fine coffee and baked goods!

Excellent croissants and matcha tea; fine service, they'll even give you the wave forecast for the next few days. Nice terrasse in the back that is pretty much protected from the wind but still gets some sun.
