We have contacted the BBB several times trying to get their help with Auto List in Winnipeg and they never ever do anything or even return our calls. Very frustrating.

I used to think that the BBB looked out for the interest of whoever was in the right. That was before I ever contacted them. I had an issue with our contractor and decided to go to the BBB to get it straightened out. They were the go between people between us and the contractor. They took a look at both sides of the argument and decided to side with the contractor. Even though I proved in writing that the contractors lied to them in their report to the BBB. The contractors blamed us for everything and even made up stories to make us look bad. The response from BBB was that the contractor did everything in their power to resolve this, but the customer (me), was unwilling. I still have no idea what they did to try and resolve this. We ended up just selling the house and moving out of the area.

We run a business in Manitoba and I am was disappointed in the way that the BBB operated. First if you weren't paying for being accredited business you got a lower rating regardless of the level of service and goods you provided. Second if a business lied to the BBB and said they had been in business longer than it had to get a better rating the BBB didn't bother to check it out, that's changed. The BBB is NOT a government agency and I believed that they were just in this to make a buck and NOT looking after anyones best interest but their own. I believe with the new management this has changed. We have over the last year and half had very good service from the BBB. and better products.

We just had our old windows upgraded with Canadian Choice Windows and Doors on Century St. in Winnipeg, and couldn't be more delighted with the results! The process from beginning to end was smooth and professional, and the Staff, from Project Manager Igor through the installers to the office personnel, was delightful. The general impression was of an organization committed to customer satisfaction, which was certainly achieved on this job. THANKS TO ALL!

Unfortunately, I would have to agree that the BBB is a sham. I made a complaint against the Best Sleep Centre as they sold me some furniture under false pretense. I requested to return my purchase which was denied and the owner was very rude and condescending to me. As I noted that this company was BBB approved and the owner was not meeting BBB standards (build trust, be transparent, honesty etc) I decided to file a complaint. In the owners response to the complaint, he further insulted and gaslight me and made zero attempts to rectify the situation. The BBB closed the file after the owner did not make any attempts at a resolution and the BBB considered the complaint answered". When I queried as to why it was not classified as "unresolved" the Dispute Resolution Specialist

Better business bureau is supposed to be there to help people make an informed decision, I'm telling you now don't bother because they don't post your reviews when you have been taken advantage of by a company that is registered with them. We submitted enough evidence of a company and they didn't bother to honor the review.

The BBB is a sham. A crooked organization. They are in the business of selling memberships to the very people they lead the consumer into believing that they police. I'm the age of business transparency, hopefully its not long until the bbb is a thing of the past.

One would think as part of an Accreditation process a Business would need to at least try to honour their contract and promises to their clients but sadly this is not the case and sadly the only recourse is for the client to take the Business to Court.
