INDIAN AFFAIR TAKEOUT
I’ve ordered from here twice now and after eating it I realized why I only ordered once before. The sauces taste ok but whatever kind of chicken they use, it is god awful so disgusting! It’s dark meat which most places I order from use white meat. But no biggie, dark meat still taste ok… this stuff has the grossest taste. I for sure will never order from here again now that I remember how awful the chicken taste. The biryani also lacks flavour. Overpriced for gross food.

We ordered takeout Monday night, on June 26, 2023. The food was underwhelming to say the least. The shrimp was rubbery, and the shrimp dish was mostly sauce. We had asked for mild to medium spiced, it was definitely far more spicy than we expected. Also, we could have ordered one side of rice for two people instead of two. The shahi paneer we ordered was horrible too. Both dishes were more reminiscent of a soup you would likely serve in prison and not a main course, way too much sauce. The onion bhaji and na'an bread were edible. Perhaps it was an off night with who was cooking. I would be afraid to see what the kitchen looks like or the hygiene given the abysmal quality.Way overpriced at $60 for our meal. Garbage in fact. Order McDonald's or Taco Bell instead. If I could rate this a zero I would. I still feel off thinking about what I ate days later.

Deeply overpriced for what you get. My butter chicken was all sauce — there were only five 1-inch chunks of chicken in the whole container. $17.99 for a bowl of sauce with a few measly pieces of chicken, no rice or naan included. The lamb vindaloo was all oil. A tub of fat with a few pieces of lamb. The garlic naan was rubbery, burnt on the edges and had the sour taste of overcooked garlic.Avoid this place. It’s not good.

The food was really tasty and flavourful! I admire Indian Affair for making their own naan from scratch unlike other restaurants. It was a wonderful meal with my friend who is east Asian but still enjoyed it!

Hands down the best Indian curries I’ve had in Ottawa and an absolute value for your Buck in terms of quantity and quality.Their paneer tikka, chicken tikka masala and nihari are my absolutely favourite. The indo-Chinese dishes and samosas are a major let down when compared to their Indian curries.

What a gem this place is! Tucked away in Vanier, this place has everything you want and need for a full-fledged Indian meal! Every meal I’ve bought from them was simply superb! If you’re looking for authentic and tasty Indian food, make a beeline for this place! You won’t be disappointed. We never are! Sorry, no pics. I’m never able to remember to take any pics before the food gets gleefully consumed!

Reasonably priced, tasty food and generous portions. The samosas are delicious. Takeout ordered directly from their website is ready in about 20 minutes. Don’t expect any ambiance when you arrive - this is strictly an order-and-takeout operation. The staff are super friendly, though!

One of my favourite places for Indian food. They have lots of options. The food is great and the portions generous. I loved the Tandoori prawn, the curries, the chicken biryani, and vegetable pakoras. They also have a kids menu which is very convenient when you have small kids and don't want to cook or order somewhere else.

Randomly discovered Indian Affair Takeout from Uber Eats and I’m so glad I did! The portions are generous and food is flavourful and so satisfying. My favourite dish of all time is their daal makhani. I sometimes have massive cravings for it!!! It’s creamy, unctuous with just the right amount of spice (not too spicy). We also ordered tandoori chicken, garlic naan and goat briyani. All of it was excellent. Can’t wait to order again!!!

The MOST amazing samosa’s I’ve ever had! Incredibly inexpensive for the quality. For a family of four to eat here it never costs more than $30-$50 depending on the dishes we get. Absolutely no complaints. Tip : Try t he vegetable samosa red sauce with their chicken samosas, usually the chicken come with their green hot sauce.. however I love both sauces! Their curries are also fantastic, and customer service has always been great. Awesome little hidden gem!
