Staff is very friendly and very polite every time i go there, the food there is really good, i love their avocado toast, salmon and their omelette is delicious

The perfect stop for a sip and treats after shopping @ Bayview Village! Been here a few times in the past & will always come back for more when visiting Bayview Village. Friendly & attentive staffs.

I have been coming to Bread and Roses for 10 years now. There are many things I love about this place but one that stands above all are the people. They are some of the kindest people I know. You can see how genuine they are and how much they care about the food they make and serve. That says it all for me. Thank you!

Honestly, I do not know why some people gave bad reviews to this cafe. I think it was the best cafe I've ever been. Awesome staff with a smile to the client! (I got a very good sense of the staff). Also, I did not have much information and gave me some good tips. In short, I think this place is great and I highly recommend.

The location in Bloor West Village is so much better, from service to the quality of food. Surprised the 2 places are (supposed to be) the same restaurant.

I ordered a cake and was handed a frozen cake. I thought they will get me the freshly baked one. They charge $1 extra to give you a pre written “ happy birthday “ message on a white chocolate sheet. One Reginald sized cake is for $56, expensive. I would rather go to metro and get an amazing cake ( freshly baked )

Friendly service. Pastries and drinks are good. They have a lot of nice seating. Gelato and cake options too. Their soup is quite good too!

I purchased an iced latte with oat milk and was astonished to find a thick layer of cream at the bottom; something I know oat milk does not contain. When I brought it back, asking what it was, the staff had no answer and I politely asked for it to be remade. However, the staff were gang-up on me and being very rude. A normal person would normally ask for the manager or even call the owner in this situation, but I just continued to ask for it to be remade until it was satisfactory. The second attempt resulted in a drink that tasted like liquid cane sugar and I saw the barista put in 5 full pumps of syrup, but I said nothing as I knew this was not the amount of syrup they are supposed to add. I took a sip and asked for it to be remade yet again, but I was treated with aggression. I have frequently seen this poor service and agressive behaviour for other normal customers and myself, yet this was particularly unacceptable. My third cup of coffee only just met the minimal standards for a cup of coffee; at $7, you would be better off buying somewhere else such as Starbucks or a fast food joint. If the owner sees this I would recommend some employee restruturing.
