My friends daughter bought a Texas Instrument Calculator for her school a few months ago.. The price was $169 and she bought a two year warranty for $18. The average reasonable customer would believe the purchase of a warranty would mean replacement or repair.(English is her second language that is why I have written the review) But NO, much to our surprise they don't repair calculators they replace them at the current price. So if your calculator model has gone up you pay that price and your warranty is now null and void as you have redeemed it for a replacement calculator, If you want warranty on your replacement you have to pay again. Not only that if the item you purchased is unsatisfactory and you wish to have your credit or debit card credited that is also NOT an option under their warranty. The only option is a gift card from STAPLES. The calculator never worked so my suggestion is use Amazon as Staples warranty is useless and their customer service even worse. P.S. Kudos to the Duncan store for calling Langford to make sure they enforced this policy.

I went for a black Canon cartridge. The salesperson gave me a cheaper Tru Red cartridge saying it is the same, but cheaper. The box has a Canon Replacement sticker. It didn’t work. It gave anE4 error saying not a Canon fine cartridge. Noticed a “ not approved by Canon on the actual cartridge. I don’t live near Duncan so I had to make a special trip just for a cartridge

I needed to make a couple of dozen photocopies on a Sunday. They opened at 11am and I was able to get the copies made right away. I had some questions for the woman behind the counter and she was very helpful.

This review is for the young man that works in the shipping part of staples, his name is Simon- he goes above and beyond and is really good at his job! I guarantee he doesn’t get paid his worth- give this young man a raise!!!!!

More than just paper supplies. This store offers print and digital services, passport photos, back to school supplies, office supplies, equipment and furniture. Shipping services using FedEx, Purolator or DHL. Technical service to work on your electronics and device configuration with a main focus on computers and laptops in store. This store is large and very clean. You will find friendly staff available to assist you on the floor with a lot of product knowledge and in-stock items.

I typically have been able to go into this Staples and get what I need without much hassle. Staff have generally been friendly and helpful. However my experience with the online order department yesterday had me questioning if I should bother returning. I was trying to figure out what happened to my online order and the staff member at the counter was unfriendly and argumentative. At one point she walked away without saying anything and started serving other customers. It was a pretty bad customer service experience until her boss (perhaps the owner?) came and helped me sort out the problem. He was great and solved the issue right away.

Although I had some unpleasant issues at the Campbell River store, Niven (sp?) from the Duncan store, was absolutely fantastic! He helped me choose the right laptop and went above and beyond in customer service. He was in CR for training and hung around at the end of his shift to make sure I was taken care of. If you're looking for great, knowledgable, kind service, go see Niven in Duncan!

I have always found what I needed at Staples. And best of all you can check stock on the internet before you go.

I recently had some files to print that were causing a headache so I took my problem to the copy desk at Staples… several times over a few days. They were helpful, patient and kind and I would never have got it all done successfully without them! Thanks Simon and Tesla !

Went and got my passport photo and was rejected at service canada. Had 4 others have pictures rejected. Don't go here for passport photos if you need to travel anytime soon and don't want to waste your time off work for multiple trips.
