The staff at this shop could sure teach a lot of folks about how excellent customer service is done. Every time I order from them online, they communicate through the whole process, they personally thank you for your order and they send you a rad little handwritten note of thanks and best wishes in each package. Shipping is always quick too. Can't wait to get out to the left coast and get to this store in person, but until then, anytime I need to order something, this is my first stop.

Terrific team for both retail drums and for drum lessons. I started as a total beginner and they were approachable, friendly and kind. Now I still kind of suck but I can keep time and they're still awesome.

We visited both locations. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. At the Commercial Dr location there were kits to try out too. Their passion for music shines through.

It was such a pleasure to take an old drum into a shop where all the men and women working there are so helpful, kind and smart, especially when I'm a horn player and not very familiar with the ins and outs of drums. Thanks Al Harding for all your time and good advice.

Absolutely, 100%, no questions asked, THE BEST drum shop and the best employee's. I've been playing drums for about 28 years. I've toured and bought drum equipment from all over Canada, and the US. I have never dealt with a shop, or a group of people as great as these guys!! I would recommend 10/10. If you need serious equipment, advice or help, this shop has it all. I'm not local to Vancouver, or even BC, but dealing with Rufus Drum Shop makes it almost impossible to even consider looking elsewhere.

What a fantastic place! The staff are friendly and clearly happy to be there. Their passion for music is infectious. Our son has been taking drum lessons here for a month, and he (make that 'we') are excited to go every time! I am so happy we found this place. My 12-year-old daughter is so obviously in love with the lessons becuase: a/ the instructor Jay is a great teacher (who would think your kid can actually like" homework?)
