Eaten here a number of times. Date night with my wife and bigger groups. Always been enjoyable. Was really looking forward to a delicious Cobb salad. But on this recent occasion, we knew what we wanted 5min after sitting. 10 more before we could order. Iced tea was way too sweet. Appetizer came pretty quick, spinach and artichoke dip was yummy. But after another 40+ min, our sugary tea and appetizer plate long gone, we finally got a refill and a promise, our dinner was coming right out. We both ordered salads. Chicken needs to be cooked, no doubt, but really? It was over an hour since we sat down. We dropped some cash to cover what we ate and drank and left. Waitress seemed like she had many tables, spread around and at least 1 out on the patio. She was moving pretty quick. I suspect either she didn’t finalize the order and send to kitchen or the kitchen lost track of the order. Food previously was good, I’ll say that much. But this is a 1st for me, never walked out before. Only once have I left a low tip. I’ve worked service industry before, so I’m sympathetic, but very disappointed.

We had a very good dinner here of appys and drinks. Pork Gyoza, Chicken Quesidillas and Lettuse Wraps were all very tasty! Good service as well.

We had a great time! The service was impeccable. Our waitress checked on us frequently, but without disturbing our conversation. As soon as my drink was close to empty, she swooped in and replaced it. We had the gyozas to start and they were excellent. I think they were made in house and tasted excellent. I had the beef dip with the mushroom soup as a side. I loved both. The portions are big and the food is very fresh. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

Excellent service and best part of the experience. Enjoyed the steak as it was cooked as expected and the pesto butter was very tasty. For a pub however, the tiny fries were a bit disappointing—lots of them but seemed like the leftover rejects. Surprise neither dish came with a single vegetable.

The appetizer was fantastic! The battered cod though was... Strange. The tartar sauce has this new age fusion taste to it with what I think is dill. I got nothing against dill but it was just quite a bit bizzare.

If you want to have a conversation with the one you are dining with, this is NOT the restaurant to go to. The music is too loud, and the place echoes; I couldn't hear the lady across the table from me because the only other table that had anyone seated at it, had to yell to hear each other. I found the place simply obnoxious. Food tasted good but was over priced with small portions. Service was all right, but I won't be back.

It was our first time at Fluid and we had a fun experience! My partner and I ordered the crab dip, and the crab pieces were generous and it was a great way to start our dinner. We ordered the smoked chicken & bacon fettuccine and the beef dip. The fettuccine was good but it was on the pricier side for sure, can get it elsewhere for a cheaper price. The beef dip was super filling and not half bad. Overall we had a nice evening!

One of the best nachos I've ever had!Great vibe and super nice staff.Will stop there again next time I'm in Courtenay.
