Clay Cafe Avalon

Booked Wednesday wheel session for beginners. Great and fun experience, 1hr session and you can make as many items as you can. Instructor was super cool and supportive. I wish there was more training in advance, I’d recommend you look online at techniques and tactics before hand.

My children and I have been coming here for years. Sometimes it is for a class. Other times it is for a birthday party. Sometimes, just for fun. But we always have a great time and a blast trying fun and enjoyable activities. You can always find something worthwhile to do.

I went to a drag event here and it was deadly. There's an incredible selection of items to paint, and the employees working were so great! If you're able to get to a Slay Cafe event at some point, it is a blast! And if you're not able to, you should still go here at some point.

Great place to bring the kids and have fun, get messy and make something beautiful to remember the quality time together. My 5 year old and I had a blast painting matching mugs for our hot chocolate breaks... we'll definitely be back again!

Great place to relax and get away from life for a while. The clay/pottery is a slight bit expensive but the end product is worth the money. Excellent staff and friendly. Great additional courses and group ideas here.

Attended a Clay Café Halloween event. Was charged for entry (which included snack and beverage) then had to pay for pre-made pottery separately.Was able to choose what pottery design to buy to paint. There were many beautiful designs to choose from however they were quite expensive. One of the least expensive items I came across was about $17 for a small ornament. The more attractive, medium/large size items were $50+.Was given an option to pick a few paint colors but was allowed to have more colors after asking staff. Paint brushes were low quality and challenging to work with especially if you really enjoy painting and painting details.Snacks and beverage were included with the entry fee. Attendees were given an apple with caramel dip separately (really cute) and that was tasty. Were given a bottle of water and Halloween size chips and bar as well. I would've liked a café item as it is considered a café but the snacks were just fine.Staff were dressed in costume and the café was decorated. Attendees were welcome to dress is costume also, which I did. There was supposed to be a costume contest which never happened during the event.Attendees were given a date which their painted clay would be available for pickup which sadly was after Halloween so although our pottery was mainly Halloween themed we wouldn't get to see it or use it until the day after Halloween.The cafe does not contact you to pick up your clay. You have a certain time frame to claim your clay or it will be gotten rid of.

I’ve been going to the clay cafe for many years ever since I was a small kid. Even now as an adult I continue to enjoy it. If you like art this is a great place to hangout with friends and family. The atmosphere is great and the employees seem like amazing friendly people.

Wont be going back. Did pottery. Poorly organized. Some poeple got there clay an hour before others. Because instructor would start going around helping people before everyone was setup. In a 2 hour class people shouldnt be waiting an hour after the first person us started. Than there was zero instruction infront of class it raise go around and help individuals. Each table had 2 people sharing 1 knife and scraper, so lots of times your waiting for the tool you need. In a 2 hour class i got maybe 30 minutes of actual using the clay and zero instruction. To end it off when went to pay the price came out over double what i was priced online booking it. I was just as well flushing my $140 i was charged for 2 people down toilet. Way over charging for what you get. No structure to the class. Horribly run and organized. Wont go back there again.
