We had been waiting a long time to get our dream backyard, and Taz with Tazscapes Inc. delivered!We interviewed a few different landscape companies and when we met Taz we knew he was our guy. He listened to what we wanted, communicated well, was very honest in terms of expectations and costs and most of all, he is very experienced and knowledgeable. Throughout the entire process Taz was always very responsive, on time, and involved in all aspects of the project. He made us feel very comfortable in trusting our backyard to him.In the design process, Taz sat down with us to understand what we wanted, how we were going to use the space and offered up wonderful ideas to incorporate into the design. When Taz returned with the design, we were thrilled. It was exactly want we wanted and what we had envisioned. We were so excited to get the project underway.The construction started on time with Taz’s team. Lewis, Nick and the rest of the crew worked diligently to get the project completed based on the design plan. They were in constant communication with us to ensure there were no surprises and any issues were discussed and dealt with immediately, ensuring everything was completed to our satisfaction. They were a pleasure to work with, very professional, worked hard and cleaned up the worksite every day! Taz remained closely involved in the project oversight to ensure everything was moving along as expected. Taz brought in experienced subcontractors as needed to complete specific aspects of the project - like the beautiful water features installed by Kevin from Water By Design. Every detail in the entire project was executed with care, quality and expertise by all involved.Our yard was completed on time in June, despite some unusual weather conditions, and we were lucky to spend the summer and fall enjoying it. We were very happy with everything - top quality: products, workmanship, tress/shrubs/plants and customer service. Taz you are amazing! Thank you for giving us a beautiful backyard that we can enjoy for many years to come, both day and night thanks to the added light package! Our backyard underwent a full transformation thank to Taz, Lewis and their fantastic crew of contractors. We couldn’t be more pleased with the end results!Taz is undoubtably the most responsive and punctual contractor that we have ever worked with. He was on time for every appointment we scheduled and always answered our phone or email inquiries so quickly. After an initial consultation and site visit, Taz was quickly able to put together a design that captured our “wish” list and made great use of our small backyard space. He provided us several options to fit in different budget ranges, but left final decisions to us with no pressure.All of the contractors that worked on our site were friendly and professional. We were continually impressed by how clean the worksite was left at the end of the day - much appreciated!We love our new space. Lewis and his team did a great job on the stone patio (we’ve had so many compliments on that stone!). Cole brought visual interest with the beautiful multi-level composite deck and built-in planter box. A huge thanks to Grant for the stunning water feature - it’s perfect for our small space and may have ended up being my favourite part of our space. The design provides us several different spaces to “live in” and enjoy, while keeping things easy and low maintenance with our dogs.We are now proud to entertain in our backyard and spend so much more time enjoying our outdoor space. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Taz and the team to anyone considering a backyard renovation.

We had Taz do a complete overhaul on our backyard, new deck, patio, multi-use concrete pad, new trees and raised beds. From the beginning the process was very open in terms of planning, costs, timelines and expectations. We laid out what we needed and he came up with a design that gave us a yard that was functional and beautiful. There was some unexpected discoveries once the yard was cleared out and he clearly explained what changes that would entail and how the budget would be adjusted. The crews on site during the process were great both in terms of being friendly and considerate to us and the neighbours as well as the quality of construction. Aaron in particular was in charge on site and he was great, explaining what progress had been made, how things were moving as expected (or not, on occasion) and was happy to listen to our questions. We went into this with some nervousness, it was a big investment and there are terrible stories of what happens when you choose the wrong person. Taz was the right person. No construction project is going to go seamlessly, but the way they respond to issues makes all the difference and we always felt heard and understood when things popped up. They continued to be responsive even after finishing up - there was a minor problem with our gate a couple months after completion and it was fixed within 24 hours after asking what the issue might be.The final product is wonderful, well built and great to just be in. We love the result and have spent more time in our yard since it was finished than probably the last three summers combined. Taz is well worth the investment.

Hiring Tazscapes was one of the best decisions I ever made. Taz is highly creative, professional and honest! The design process was fun, and he was totally responsive to my needs and budget. The entire team was awesome! They were dedicated, hard working and highly professional! In fact, they even helped me with a drainage issue well before spring. I am THRILLED with my backyard and I would hire them again in a nano second. This IS the best landscaping company!!

To say our experience with these guys was anything less than 5 star would be the understatement of the year. When we purchased our new home a big hurdle was the state of the yard. we honestly thought the entire house was a knockdown due to the state of the yard. it is a large corner lot that can be seen by all sides and it was beyond awful. From start to finish Taz and his team designed to our exact needs and desires and worked tirelessly (13 hours a day) to get it done! Every person who walks by is in shock at the transformation! I would recommend this team every day of the week!

My wife and I built our home in the community of Symon’s Gate, in Calgary’s Northwest in 2015, and moved into it in early 2016. Like most new builds, we did not have a lot of yard space to work with and it sat mostly undisturbed for six years while we bided our time, saved our money, and designed meticulously. We wanted something practical that optimized the space we have for entertaining, relaxation, and occasional outdoor exercise. All this with a unique aesthetic that represented our life together.The pandemic and the need for more comfortable outdoor gathering space convinced us that 2021 was our year, but we were still not sold on the landscaping companies we’d received quotes from thus far. That’s when my smart and beautiful wife came across Tazscapes online. Reviews were consistently outstanding, and it was clear through promotional material that Tazscapes offered the level of artistry we were waiting for, so we gave Tazscapes a call.Taz came to our home to get a sense of our property and our vision for it. He presented as competent, professional, and forthright, which gave us confidence in him. He listened to us thoroughly and I could tell he understood what we were after. He asked our budget and while it was within the realm of what he thought it might cost, he was straightforward with us about what we’d pay for what we’re asking. We handed him the Real Property Report and transferred the money necessary to begin the design.About a week later the design was in. While fantastic right out of the gate, we worked with Taz to further personalize it to our wishes, going back and forth on details for a week. Once the design was complete and we were comfortable with the price, we gave him the green light to book us. To our surprise, Taz’s team started a week earlier than scheduled, though due to the pandemic and supply issues, our stone fireplace was backordered for late August.Taz’s Site Foreman, Nick stopped by the day before breaking ground to meet us and check out the yard. While relatively young, Nick has the experience, temperament, and skills to lead his team well. Nick was responsive to all our requests, even when we asked him if we could purchase and plant two additional aspen trees in our front yard, creating another trip for him and probably disrupting his schedule. He seemed as committed to making our outdoor space amazing as Taz was, and he held our confidence throughout.No project of this scope proceeds without some adjustments and additions, and we requested a few additional features, such as a wood border to retain the rundle rock on one side of our home, one additional step paver, one more outdoor light, the additional trees, and others. Neither Taz nor Nick balked at any of our requests. Taz is remarkably responsive to his clients and tends to reply within minutes, despite the number of clients he manages. The whole project went smoothly and by the time the early July heatwave was upon us, we were chillin’ on the patio.We are IN LOVE with the final product. It turned out BETTER than we had hoped, and the process was painless. I’m still working from home with a good view of the yard from my home office. We have a walking path behind our yard, and I’ve had numerous passersby comment on its beauty, ask for Taz’s contact information, and exclaim, “awww, I want one!” Even when I’m inside my house I see heads turn and eyes lock on our yard as people walk by. There’s nothing like it in our neighbourhood.Now, I’ll be both clear and honest. Taz’s services are not cheap. He’s the real deal, he’s in demand, and he has the luxury of being selective with his clients and projects. Therein exists an implied agreement. The client is reasonable, decisive, and pays what and when they’re supposed to. In exchange, Taz will design, coordinate, and deliver an outstanding final product with accountability, professionalism, and an artist’s touch. If you can abide by the implied agreement, then he’s likely the Landscape Pro for you. In sum, we highly recommend Tazscapes for your landscaping needs!

Working with Tazscapes on our backyard was an awesome experience. Taz gained our confidence from our first meeting where he took the time to really understand how we wanted to use the yard and provided a design that exceeded our expectations while keeping within our budget.The construction experience was also beyond expectation. It was exciting to see the yard being transformed every day from an unusable space to a place where we now spend the majority of our time and can host friends and family. We had the opportunity to work with Tazscapes for our landscaping project in Calgary, and the experience was amazing!We met with Taz, who walked us through our options and then did a quick concept sketch to show us what he meant. During the design process, we discussed many things we could add to enhance our yard while still trying to keep it to a manageable budget.Taz took the time to revise the design a few times until we got exactly what we wanted!After the design process, we went over the quote and adjusted things as needed but overall was an easy, transparent and organized process to follow.Once construction started, Lewis took control of the whole project right from the beginning making sure all the grading work was done correctly - they had other sub-trades like Cole for the pergola and Grant for the water feature work together to bring our oasis into life.Taz was super easy to get a hold of and addressed any questions we had, and the guys on site worked hard to ensure everything was done correctly and to our liking.The final product was better than we envisioned it! A firepit area with a grand pergola to mark that spot while allowing us to visually enjoy our surroundings, having the water feature come crashing down was a beautiful addition.Overall I can't say enough good things about Taz and his guys - Fantastic workmanship, Spectacular service and Organized processes in place from start to finish.We highly recommend Tazscapes for all your landscaping needs!!

Our experience with Tazscapes was wonderful. We searched online for a landscape designer who matched our aesthetic and found that on Taz's website. After reaching out to him (which was always easy to do), we met for an initial meeting where we discussed ideas we had and he had a chance to see our backyard. This was his opportunity to understand our desires as clients, the space he had to work with, and a general idea of our budget. He showed us photographs of other projects and even took us to a former project that was similar in size and scope. Initially, we asked him to come up with a design and paid him for that. We were very happy with that and so decided to go ahead and hire him to bring that design to life. The entire project went very well and Taz was always available to us to help make decisions and solve problems. The entire crew were excellent to deal with and in their craftsmanship. From start to finish, we were well taken care of and very happy with the final results. I will definitely work with Taz again for future projects and highly recommend Tazscapes to anyone looking for top-notch work.

I would give Tazscapes 10 stars if I could. Right from the our very first interaction with Taz, I had confidence that he was the one and he did not disappoint. We really appreciated, Taz's showing us some of the yards that he had done to see the quality of his work.
