Acts of Beauty Boudoir Photography

What an experience! I have never felt more comfortable, beautiful and sexy taking photos. I do not enjoy having my photos taken but I felt like I needed to do something like this for myself. I can’t wait to see my pictures. Star and Michelle made me feel so special and fully accepted.

I have been having so much trouble finding the right words to describe my experience. Star was so welcoming and professional, and made me feel completely at ease, which is not easy to do when someone points a camera at me! Michelle did an absolutely stunning job on my hair and makeup, and she was so easy to chat with while I nervously anticipated what was to come. I just saw my photos the other day, and I was completely blown away. Never in my wildest dreams did I anticipate how they would turn out! The entire experience was so empowering, it got me completely out of my comfort zone, and it was absolutely worth it. If you've been considering a boudoir session at all, I highly recommend Star and Michelle!

My experience with Star was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I walked into the studio I felt like I was talking with friends I had known for years. Michelle and Star both made me feel super comfortable and I love that they took time to ease any anxieties and fears I had around the whole process. Star truly knows how to make someone feel absolutely gorgeous in front of a camera and I have no doubt I am going to love every single one of my photos once I see them. The only bad part is going to be having to choose between them all!!

I can't say enough about the experience. Star and Michelle are so kind and genuine, they immediately put you at ease, it feels like hanging out with old friends.The shoot itself was so much fun, it's easy to forget about about the camera and just revel in the confidence that Star brings out.10/10 will do again.

After years of saying I was going to do it I finally booked a session with Acts of Beauty and worked with the team of Star and Michelle to do a boudoir session. You'd think that the session started when you walked in the door but for Star Newman it's different. She reached out for an interview to understand who I was and what I wanted to get out of the experience. She sent several emails in the months to my boudoir shoot, and each one designed to address concerns women would have, such as clothing options, body image, nerves, suggestions in self care and more.Every woman is nervous walking in, I'm sure, but the two ladies immediately set to work to calm the nerves I felt when the day of my shoot arrived. We looked through my clothing choices, discussed hair and makeup, talked further about the kind of pictures I'd like to take and then I was whisked away to get glammed up. Michelle chattered and drew me out, easing any lingering doubts as she skillfully did my makeup and hair. I'd never felt so pampered and comfortable as in her chair, and because I rarely wear makeup, she explained what she was applying and why. I was blown away by the final result. Once done I was brought back into the studio and my work with Star began.Most people don't get to know their photographer but Star talked about herself and shared her personality, including sometimes getting lost in her art as she was behind the camera. She helped me choose outfits, moved me through various scenes for the best pictures and had me do dozen of poses, all the while commenting on what she was seeing as she was looking through her lens. She made me feel extremely empowered, liberated, beautiful and beyond sexy. We laughed and chatted the whole time and never once did I feel awkward or inhibited, including when I was naked and posed, it just felt incredible.Would I recommend Acts of Beauty Boudoir Photography? Without a doubt, and I already have to whoever asked me about that day. I walked away from the shoot thinking I could take on the world and already planning when I'll do my next shoot with them. I haven't even seen pictures yet, but as I write this review the feelings of empowerment, liberation, strength, and more come flooding back in a rush. 1000 times over I would recommend the team of Acts of Beauty for any boudoir shoot.

Star is amazing!!! Don't think about it just book your session with her and watch your whole life change for the better.this is a life changing day where you completely learn to see yourself in a different way the rest of your life. The whole day, the photos, the friendships you make from that moment forward are unbelievable and breathtaking.

Star was so amazing right from the very beginning. My phone consultation she put me at ease and made me so excited to book. The lead up to my shoot, she kept me informed, gave me ideas, and touched base with me multiple times. These emails made me feel excited and comfortable to have this very intimate day. The day of, I was nervous but excited. She helped me be comfortable and the flow of the shoot added so much to my comfort level and my experience. I would absolutely get photos done with Star again! I haven't seen my photos yet but I already know without a doubt I will love them!

This experience was amazing! Star made everything so easy and I even got brave enough to do things that at the time of booking I didn’t think I would be! Michelle was amazing as well, she dealt with my short hair amazingly and made me see that I don’t just have boring brown eyes. They also shot off compliments left and right! If you ever get the chance to do a boudoir shoot with Star and Michelle do it because you will end up feeling on cloud 9 at the end of it!

I have never felt so confident and comfortable in front of a camera. If you ever wanted to give a gift to yourself do a shoot with Star. I went in with specific goals for myself with the shoot. Star not only helped me achieve those goals but I felt so comfortable doing it. Most amazing experience.
