The old owner/management was amazing. When the new owner took over, he let the then current staff go. This new staff has no clue about products or services, let alone animals. The old staff helped me turn my abused rescue dog into a loving companion. I don't understand why the old staff was let go. There was an established community of customers that have now gone elsewhere. This was not a bright move. It used to be a great store.

I used to go here all the time without issue but there seems to have been a staff change in the last few months and not only are the new staff not as friendly or helpful as the old staff, they constantly have incense burning, making it impossible for people like myself with asthma/respiratory issues to shop there.

Very nice atmosphere and selection! I was stressed about getting last minute things for my kitten and the employee working that night was more than happy to give suggestions and personal favorites! I got this toy for MJ and she absolutely loves it! Prices are hit and miss but definitely doable even if you're on a low budget

My father decided to go to Sherwood pet valu to treat his grand dog and ended up getting a couple of dog items. When he got home he realized that he was charged for a fish item that he never wanted or even got. So he went back to complain and get his money back. When the owner said he had footage of him putting it in the bag and tried to show my dad even though it was only the dog items he put in and refused to refund him and told him he was incompetent and to get out of his store. I’ve generally always given my business to pet valu and I understand they are owned differently all around. SO DONT GO TO THE SHERWOOD LOCATION AS THEY SCAM ELDERLYS AND MAKE THEM FEEL STUPID… very disappointing with this new management for this store.

I like the store staff is friendly and if you need to get dogs nails done pretty reasonable at 10 dollars. They don't however price match and the blue buffalo dog food I wanted to get was 14 dollar difference at petsmart for 26 pound bag

All the people working here are very helpful and courteous. I always get my dog food delivered from here and am very happy with their service.

Awesome pet supply store!I always love coming in and being treated like a regular. They have a wide selection of products for all animals but specifically and amazing selection for cats! they carry unique brand name cat furniture which our cats ADORE! They are also very friendly and happy to help with any questions or concerns I may have with new foods and/or treats. They've been AMAZING at handling their business during COVID. I appreciate the time and effort that they put in to make sure that we would feel safe yet still being able to get what we need for our cats.If you have cats, pick up a few Kitty Flicks when you're in there! They are amazing and unique to Pet Valu stores. Your cats will absolutely LOVE them!

Pet Valu at Sherwood Mall has the best staff, Nicole and Shawna plus the rest of the staff go above and beyond to help me to make sure my pets are well looked after. I hope they continue to give me excellent service. I won't go to another pet store unless Nicole or Shawna are there to help me.
