I have shopped here all summer and the staff has always been amazing, however when I mentioned to the cashier that my grandchildren where trying to get donations to feed the homeless. Within minutes the amazing staff went into action to help out. I will always support Bala Freshmart they have wonderful people that care about there community !

Bala Freshmart is local and exceptionally well stocked. Prices are no more crazy than anywhere else. The staff are great the 'free' bags are awesome with local sponsors. Great Bala resource!

I just tried this store for the first time in years. I got everything I needed on a tricky list and prices were very reasonable. Staff are great too.

Store is great with good employees but prices are harsh for the locals, would rather shop at Walmart or Independent in Bracebridge unless in dire and speedy need.

It's only getting 5 Stars because I am a local and the customer service is outstanding. However this store caters to the tourist only. The prices are sky high! .They could sell alot more products if they lowered during the off season.

Huge thank you to Caleb & Christine at Bala FreshMart for their amazing service! Our family has shopped in this store for 30+ years, since I was a kid, but this week reminded me why. Stuck in quarantine so we couldn't go shopping, but they gathered everything we needed (including our favorite PC products) and delivered then to the end of our driveway. Despite being a small store, they always have at least one of everything on our list and everything is always fresh. Thank you guys!

Rude and ignorant staff!Was doing laundry next door and the washrooms were out of order, asked Oliver’s coffee, they said to use the Freshmart washrooms but was met with attitude when asked! My children are 3 and 5. When I asked where else was I supposed to go she was so ignorant and looked away and continued stocking the shelves.

Not bad at all!Despite being on the small side for a grocery store, it’s well stocked, has good quality products and seem professionally looked after. I am new to the area and was pleased to find this little gem close by. It has already saved me several trips to larger towns. Happy to support it and hope it remains viable for the long haul.
