I’ve been seeing Sarah for years, and have loved my hair every single time she’s done it. She’s so talented, and thoroughly thinks through how she wants to approach each client. She really understands the science and techniques behind what she does, and it shows in all her amazing work! She’s the absolute best.

Hair by Sarah Mascara is exceptional! I more than look forward to all my appointments with her. Sarah listens to what you want and what your goals are. The atmosphere she creates is so welcoming and she allows you to either enjoy your time in peace and what one of her streaming channels or to enjoy catching up and great conversation. Sarah is truly an artist with hair color. She listens to what you want or may be concerned about, and then she works her magic to deliver beautiful results. She does this while making you feel comfortable and at ease with her warm, kind personality and her relaxing salon space. I would highly recommend Sarah to anyone who wants beautiful color at any age. I'm 52 and I always leave my appointment feeling refreshed and looking my best!

I have been seeing Sarah since 2015 and will never let anyone else touch my hair! She is the balayage queen. Every time I see her I leave feeling so refreshed and receive exactly what I wanted. She always asks me what I want and asks for reference pictures as a guide. She takes what I show her and blows it out of the water. She is so knowledgable about her work and field and you can tell she loves what she does. She has recently moved to a new private studio so I can't speak on her new space but her studio at Sola Salon Studios was always clean and nice. As far as studio entertainment she has a tv with music and Netflix, magazines, and she is work friendly too. She goes above and beyond to accommodate me during my appointment by offering me beverages, entertainment, and always asks if any adjustments are needed to my chair and etc.I have since moved to another state but recently came back to MN to see Sarah because as I stated, she is the only person I trust with my hair! She even allowed me to come in a bit earlier to make sure we had enough time to work on my hair (due to my mistake of booking the wrong type of appointment, oops). Just another example of how accommodating she is. She is such a pleasure to be around and I feel like I am hanging out with a good friend whenever I am in her chair. She is so sweet and professional. I highly recommend you book an appointment with her! You will not be disappointed.

Sarah is a master of color! I wanted to soften my look and spread out the time between touch-up sessions. Sarah is a great listener and took ample time to explain every part of the process. I could not be happier with the final results! Sarah is the absolute best at creating natural/subtle color transformations.

I can’t say enough good things about Sarah and her business.She advised me from start to finish on finding a halo and topper that was right for me. She went back and forth answering ALL of my many questions before I was even sure if I wanted to use her service. She even ended up referring me to a hair place that made toppers even though it meant she lost some business. She was so generous with her time and knowledge.In the end she made me a gorgeous 16-inch halo that makes my hair look incredible.I would be happy to refer anyone to hair by Sarah mascara.

I’ve been seeing Sarah for several years and I’m so happy with the entire experience. She answers all of my questions to figure out what I’d like to do with my hair and is amazing at listening to my thoughts and making adjustments from appointment to appointment. The look she is able to achieve with my hair is exactly how I picture it. I always want her to make my hair look and grow out in a natural way and she makes it look great every time!

Sarah is amazing! With a parent as a stylist, I grew up in salons and have pretty high expectations. I've visited 3 times and will continue to return. She listens, provides advice and makes recommendations on what will be simplest to maintain and look great at the same time. I've had more compliments than ever following my appointments and even from people that hadn't seen me for months prior to the new styles. My hair grows ridiculously fast, and I have significant gray - her technique minimizes the grow out lines and I can extend time between appointments which is a huge relief in my schedule. I cannot praise her highly enough.

Sarah is so talented! She knows how to make your vision for your hair come to life. I am always impressed with how natural and beautiful my color looks after an appointment with her. Her salon is clean and quiet. When was the last time you were served a latte and watched Netflix while you got your hair done?? Highly recommend Sarah for a great experience all around!

Sarah has been my hair stylist for several years. She has a wonderful mastery of hair coloring techniques. She listens to what I want, and makes suggestions for my hair type. Her space is welcoming and contemporary, and a relaxing place to spend an hour or two. Sarah is extremely professional, and a very nice person!
