I parked a car in front of the cafe and sat beside the view point of the departure bay. Beautiful location! But cappuccino are horrible(you can see my pic of “cappuccino”)

After hearing about this coffee shop we finally made it for a meal and coffee. First off the location is amazing with floor to ceiling windows taking in the view of Departure Bay and the Salish Sea.We had coffee with our meal, for that part it was good and to be expected from a coffee shop. We had the beet and all good salads which I believe are made off site, they were great.It was a Friday night when we arrived so it was super busy, makes senses with the fact they serve local craft beer on tap. This was evident with the trendy 20-something crowd on the patio. That being said they serve wine also so inside was a couple of groups of older clientele. The Drip brings in a diverse customer base clearly.The atmosphere was inviting and the customer service was promptly, polite and very friendly.As I joked with my wife though, she was happy and we appreciate that they use Young Living Thieves hand soap (my wife is a huge fan).

Was hoping to sit down and study before class and enjoy breakfast, wasn’t greeted but that’s okay, ordered my drink and before I could even glance at the food menu she had the iPad turned around without saying anything to me, I figured I’d sit down and set up my seat and then order food but when I looked around there wasn’t any seats. Half the people didn’t have food or drinks so it was disheartening. Guess that’s why she didn’t ask if I wanted anything else. My drink was extremely watered down and flavourless. Won’t be coming back, super unfriendly staff that day and unwelcoming environment. Sucks because I live so close, but I’ll go to Buzz instead.

Love getting coffee here in the summer. Great coffee and snacks and love their outdoor patio or grabbing a coffee to go to walk along the beach across the street. Definitely recommend !

Such a hip and trendy coffee place with rich and flavourful coffee and yummy sandwiches. Also - great service. A must stop in Nanaimo!Food: 5/5Caffe latte was yummy.Both avacado toast and grilled eggplant in ciabatta were sumptuous! All flavours and ingredients nicely fused in.Ambiance: 5/5Set right next to the beach the outdoor seating is refreshing and indoors is hip and modern!Service: 5/5very friendly and nice servers. They saw we had a baby so provided extra help.

We ordered couple coffee - I asked for latte which was mostly like flat white - big cup but no foam at all (FYI am not coffee expert). Nanaimo bars tasty,but the girl at the till didnt have good day I’m assuming…

This may have the best coffee house location in Nanaimo. Sit inside, outside, or right at the beach. Good coffee, food, staff. Jugglers are conspicuously absent from this top tier spot. I’m not fond of jugglers. The attached photo illustrates what my dog was doing while I drank coffee.

Tasty beans, creative baristas, and great views. This is a modern place with fresh vibes. The staff was friendly and the place is bright and open.If you're used to bigger city living, this place is a good coffee shop to get that similar service and feel.

Tiny space but very busy! Highly recommended, nice ocean view which across departure bay beach/ocean. They have great selections of drinks, food and snacks! Great ambience as well. Very very recommended place to hang out, have a nice chat, work.
