The struggles to bring back the marsh are highly visible at this spot with exposed mud flats in winter stubbornly refusing to grow new plants.

This really a nice area to hike in. Some trails are a bit under water right now due to heavy rains. But outside of that they are great for walking and hiking.

It's great when there aren't leaves on the trees. It would be great to trim back some branches so we can see from the lookout when the leaves come out. Thanks!

Lovely spot to rest and have a snack on a hike. Worth the trek up the hill. Beware of poison ivy nearby.

The George North Lookout is located right off the Pinetum trail. It's a quiet place with a great view of Cootes Paradise. More importantly, this is a nice place for bird-watching. Bring your binoculars or camera and have an enjoyable time.

My new hangout...but take bird seed to get maximum pleasure. The birds and red squirrels are so active and come so close...its like being in a disney movie. You can tell where Walt got is inspiration from, Woodpeckers, Blue Jays, Chickadees...and even if you are lucky to see the bald eagles fly by. A true gift
