Crave Doughnuts
SERIOUS NOMS! One of my favourite places to visit when I'm in the area. The flavours are out of this world, I have yet to try one that I didn't like. They are always so fresh and can store for a few days. They are also quite massive so make sure you go with an empty belly. Try and order for pick-up early as the lines can sometimes be long later in the day.

Absolutely perfect donuts and vibe. I travel from Toronto for these babies. This is next level dessert.Crave is one of my favourite small businesses to support because their products are superior and consistent and so damn pretty. I love that they raise awareness for community causes and remain loyal to their original business - just excellent donuts made from scratch with quality ingredients. Even their multiple vegan options are fantastic. These guys manage their products, business and brand so well, and I’ve never had anything but a highly positive experience after many interactions and donut runs. Favourite anything in the GTA!

Crave Doughnuts is hands down one of the best doughnut shops I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. From the moment you walk in, the aroma of freshly baked doughnuts fills the air, making your mouth water in anticipation of the delicious treats to come. The doughnuts themselves are truly exceptional. The dough is light and fluffy, with a perfect balance of sweetness that is never overwhelming. The toppings are creative and delicious, with a wide variety of flavors to choose from. Some of my personal favorites include the Nutella-filled doughnuts and the maple bacon doughnuts - both of which are absolutely divine. In addition to their amazing doughnuts, Crave Doughnuts also offers fantastic coffee and other drinks, making it the perfect place for a morning pick-me-up or an afternoon treat. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and they take the time to answer any questions you may have and help you select the perfect doughnuts to suit your taste.Overall, I cannot recommend Crave Doughnuts enough. Whether you're a doughnut aficionado or just looking for a sweet treat to brighten your day, Crave Doughnuts is the place to go. Their doughnuts are simply amazing, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. If you haven't tried Crave Doughnuts yet, you're missing out!

You have to try any of the fritters and cruellers!! As someone who has consumed an absurd amount of donuts, no place compares to Crave. Some of the best donuts have been the marshmallow sweet potato fritter, apple toffee fritter, churro cruller, and caramel macchiato. I will say I tend to prefer to unfilled donuts over the filled ones but you can't go wrong either way!

Firstly, I love the creativity of the folks at Crave. The constantly changing flavour combinations that they come up with for their donuts are great. So why only 3 stars? I’ve tried Crave several times over the last few years - going back to when they only had a rolling rack one day per week at another person’s little bakery in south Ajax - and unfortunately they consistently fry their donuts in grease that’s not the right temperature. How do I know? I’m a pastry chef and donuts should never absorb the oil they’re fried in - I can literally see the oil when I look inside a Crave donut. Not a tonne of oil, but it’s visible and you can taste the grease - especially on their sour cream donuts (like Confetti Cake). I’ve also had a few experiences - including a Tiramisu Cheesecake donut from yesterday - where their brioche donuts had been in the oil a little too long. Not only could you taste the burnt dough but you could see that the bottom of the donuts were way too dark. Given the price point of the donuts, these types of errors are not acceptable. That batch should never have been served. I know that hurts after you’ve gone to all the trouble of making the dough, but sometimes you need to admit that you need to start over. These are mistakes that rookies make but the folks at Crave are not rookies. They should know better. I hate leaving a less than positive review because I do love the concept & the fact that they’ve been so successful that they’ve already opened a second location but there are some issues that need addressing. These are not one-offs - I’ve had this experience several times over many years and I hope that this feedback will be helpful to the team. I wish you guys all the luck in the world!EDIT: It’s very bizarre to me that a business would publicly appeal to customers to only leave positive reviews rather than honest ones. A public plea for constructive criticism to be kept private is arguably more damaging to a small business than the review itself. It’s all part of the industry & has been for decades. Crave has literally received hundreds of glowing reviews on Google alone. A handful of reviews that politely point out where you can improve is not going to make or break your business. Grow up.

Yup. Legit donuts, the pecan donut is a must try in my opinion. The ladies in there are too sweet and super friendly to make the experience smooth. They are a tad pricey but it’s a gourmet donut spot so it’s expected..the donuts are fresh and super cute for gift giving.

I don't know how many times I've come here but, whatever the number, it isn't enough! The rotating flavours allow you to experiment with new flavours but you know it will be good no matter what you get! Some recent favourites of mine are the Cookie Butter, Snickerdoodle, and Turtle Cheesecake. Make sure to get there early if there's a specific flavour you want! This review goes up to 6 stars once customized pre-orders are allowed.
