Heartwood Farm & Cidery

What a wonderful place to visit! Went on the cider tasting tour and learned a lot. The cider is very delicious and it was really interesting to learn about farming and interact with the animals. Would definitely recommend a visit!

This is a way overdue review! We visited Heartwood Farm & Cidery in early June 2022, and we stayed at the sunrise tent, which was our 1st glamping experience and it was amazing!We loooove everything at Heartwood Farm, The farm, the people, the animals, the tent, the cider, the outdoor kitchen and even the outhouse!Val and her family are super friendly and nice, and I am very impressed with how passionate Val is about sustainable farming. It was very inspiring talking to her.It really felt like a retreat when I was at Heartwood farm and I enjoyed connecting to the farm and nature, and having time to unwind and relax.The tent was very comfortable and cozy and the kitchen had everything we need! Even though we had some heavy rain overnight, we stayed warm and dry inside the tent. The eggs and beef patty were yummy, and for sure the ciders were amazing as usual! And the outhouse! I have never been to an outhouse that was so clean n nice! We got a very nice bonus from the nature that we got a fireflies light show!We look forward to visiting Heartwood farm again! Highly recommended! ♥️

We had a magical visit to Heartwood on a beautiful day when the sap was flowing. If you are looking for a maple syrup tour, I can't imagine a better option. It was an awesome experience. Val and Brent are genuine and amazing people with a beautiful approach to living regeneratively. Our daughter fell in love with the animals and would love to visit them again.Thank you!!!

Kathy and I just got home after a two night stay in the Sunrise Suite. Everything about our stay was amazing, from the minute we first arrived until the time we left. Val, you made our brief holiday very enjoyable and we didn’t want to leave.If you want to get away and recharge this is the place to go. If some downtime and pig therapy is more your style call Val.We can’t wait to come again, Kathy is already checking the calendar.Thanks Again Val & the whole team.

Heartwood produces a variety of exquisite ciders. They also offer maple syrup and organic meat products. Heartwood is a short drive, through scenic Ontario countryside, from Guelph. It is worth every minute spent getting there. The Owners and Staff will provide a genuine and warm welcome. You’ll want to return.

My husband and I along with our 2.5 year old son had a wonderful stay in Heartwood’s Spruce Sanctuary campsite last July. As avid backcountry campers, this experience was a luxurious glamping dream! The yurt & bed were so cozy, the outdoor kitchen was so well designed & equipped, the fire pit was perfectly nestled in a clearing next to the spruce trees and so we could stargaze and listen to cows graze nearby. Val, Brent and their son were such lovely hosts. We were welcomed with a refreshing glass of cider and Val took us on a great tour of the farm and answered my husband's many, many questions, and their new kitten followed wherever we went. The pigs were a highlight as well as trying currents & cherries right off the trees. They have created a truly special place and experience. I highly recommend a visit and stay with them!

Thank you so much Val for a wonderful experience!Our family went to the Family Sugarbush and Farmyard Adventure. We all had a great time, especially our kids (3 & 4 year old). The barn was very quaint with all the friendly and happy animals. The tour was in-depth and interesting. The maple syrup was delicious. Val and her husband were very friendly, informative and sweet. Must be all the maple syrup! I highly recommend coming here!

What a beautiful place! You can get cider flights for a very reasonable price and enjoy their beautiful patio, in the middle of the forest. Great customer service. Will be back!!

Terrific experience at Heartwood Farm! It's well worth the trip up from Toronto, and the cider was among the best I've ever tasted. Try a flight, and don't skip the Eve Goes Badass: a terrific discovery, spicy and distinctive.The staff were warm and inviting, and the space is the autumn landscape of your dreams. The expansive patio is dog-friendly, which we and our pooch were thrilled to enjoy!
