The service was nonexistent for our table and I assumed it was because we were the only ones who were not regulars.We had to remind the waitress to take our order thirty minutes after we were seated. This also included reminders for the bread & butter, removing our plates after the starters and entrees, refilling the water glasses and a rude comment that we were only allowed a new year tiara/hat per person then left before giving all our members one. All these things made it seem as if they were not interested at all in serving our table.When we made our reservations, we were informed them that a member of our party was celebrating her birthday. We confirmed the details when we arrived and it was noted in our reservations but when the desserts came nothing was done.On top of that, when our bill came it included a 16% gratuity which wasn't deserved at all.When I think of fine dining I think of great food and service in the likes of Jacob's Steakhouse, Kaiseki Yu-zen Hashimoto and Auberge de Pommier and unfortunately Oakland Hall Inn falls short of the service.I ended up giving Oakland Hall Inn two stars as the service couldn't take away from the fact that the food was excellent.

Great atmosphere, well prepared food and overall a wonderful place to go for fine dining. If I had one suggestion, perhaps a bit more variety on the menu.

I recently went to Oakland Hall Inn for dinner, the service, food and atmosphere was outstanding. They have a beautiful fireplace in their lounge with live entertainment Friday & Saturday evenings, I will definitely return, I think this is the best restaurant Aurora has to offer.

I can't speak highly enough. Service was outstanding; only surpassed by the food. I had a beautiful Buffalo steak with a raspberry sauce my first time visiting Oakland Hall. The next time was a wonderful mushroom risotto. Officially my favorite restaurant in Aurora.

We celebrated our anniversary recently at Oakland Hall Inn. Our dinner met or exceeded our expectations in every respect - setting, ambience, service, and food - we both took advantage of the Lobster special. We were greeted and seated by the gracious maitre de and our servers Michelle and Colleen provided ‘Goldilocks” perfect service - neither too much, nor too little, but just right. The musical stylings of Gina Lombardo topped off a memorable and romantic evening of fine dining. We will return.Marylou and Dave

Came here for a work Christmas dinner. We were given a pre-chosen menu with 2 options for each course. The food was good, but not amazing. The place itself is very historic and cozy feeling, I enjoyed eating there. We only had one person serving us which made it quite slow as well.
