Mind Games Rideau Centre

The store has a great selection. Unfortunately, their return policy for defective items does not make any sense. I bought a board game from the store, and upon open it, noticed there was a piece missing.I brought it back to the store in order to exchange it for a complete game but I was told that in order to exchange a defective item, it needs to be unopened. However, the only way to see if an item is defective is by opening it. I was told to deal with the issue on my own.I find this very unfortunate because there is a great selection, and it’s at a convenient location, but I will struggle buying anything else from the store knowing that I have no guarantee of getting a complete product.

The store looks amazing and lots of fun stuff in it. Unfortunately i had a bad experience today. They have no return policy which is understandable if communicated clearly before purchase.I bought a doll as a gift, and found something else in another store in less than 20 min, then I come back to return it. i was told there is no return policy and it is written on your receipt. when i ask them that it would be great if it also have been told to costumer that there is no return policy (cuz honestly how many time we read the bottom of the receipt when we got it) i got a bit of cold costumer service with just one answer that is our policy

I was impressed with this place!I went for buying a gift for a 7 y/o but they have a lot of variety from Board games, Puzzles, Funkos, Wooden/mechanical puzzles, lava lamps, magic the gathering, fidget objects and toys in general.Prices are good.

Horrible experience. Wanted to buy a sword basically as soon as they open. The manager decided to step out to make copies of his key, so buddy is himself. The place is pretty packed, you know, Xmas season, people wanna buy things right?I go shop around other stores. Come back. Same deal. Home Boi decided to step out again apparently. He had come back while I wad gone. The. The waiting begins. I have waited what felt like an hour total, just for the manager to finally leave the store... cause they don't store the swords... in store. Wait another 10-15 minutes. Buy my sword and I can't even be happy bro. Ruined my experience a d will never stop here again. No Bueno, wouldn't recommend this place for anyone that parked in the basement of the mall. This place alone cost me mad money in parking.Terrible, do better and lead by example.

Should've read the reviews before shopping here. If there is an issue with your purchase such as missing pieces or just want to refund on a unopened boardgame. Goodluck, you are not getting refund.I wanted to return what I bought but after reading the receipt, I found out I couldn't return and get a refund back. The sales clerk didn't even warn me about final sale or store credit only.This isn't good customer service. Warning to all who shop here.If the owner/manager replies here about getting in contact with them. No I don't want store credit, I want a refund.

Screw this place they purposely upcharge for funko pops the ones they to it to are harder to find and they know that but they’re 15-20 online and they’re selling them for 40-70$ don’t shop here !

My son had issues with one of his Funko characters purchased in a mystery box. The manager at Rideau center told me to bring in the entire box for a store credit for other Funko. I misunderstood his instruction but, he did us a favor by exchanging the Funko for one at face value as we do not live in the city. It was explained to us that a simple phone call to a manager would have resolved the entire issue for my son. We recieved excellemt customer service from everyone in the store from being greeted when walking in to a pleasant cashier and a professional manager. Thank you for resolving the issue for my son.

The cashier who helped me with the Pokemon was so kind and friendly. She brought down all the boxes and items for my son to see up-close and choose, and happily put them away after his selection. She was helpful to understand his budget and putting high priced in front of him.

Very fun store but they need to rethink their return policy of only store credit. Bought a toy for my son for Christmas but he changed his mind 2 weeks later about what he wanted. Was disappointed I couldn't get a refund. A company with over 30 stores is large enough to be able to provide customers the service of a refund for purchases that are unopened and the customer has a receipt. I could accept the policy if this was a one off local business but not for one of this size.

Last week I searched Ottawa high and low for a puzzle table that was bought at a department store. All out in the city! Before ordering on Amazon I thought I’d try googling it one more time! Mind games in the Rideau Centre came up! I called and they were willing to hold one for me until the next day. Upon arriving I met the staff, and the store manager who was extremely helpful. He asked if I had more shopping to do and offered to hold the very item until I was done. I took his offer and showed up end of day. He then offered to hand deliver the item to my car. I took him up on the offer as my daughter and I had several bags, and the item was heavy.Not only did he carry this all the way to my car…, but was patient enough with us as we had forgotten where our car was parked. I hadn’t been to the Rideau Centre in years and things looked different. After about 15 min we finally found the vehicle!I highly recommend this store for all of these reasons!
