LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services

Went here an hour before they closed hoping for walk-in blood work. There was a short wait, which is expected, and the gentleman who did my appointment was very apologetic for any delays. They were very accommodating! We all need to remember health service staff are people too and can only do so much in one day.

There is one woman who is EXTREMELY rude every time I'm in there, not just to me, but to other patients as well. Heading in there again within the next few weeks, and if I have the same experience I had multiple times before, I'm going to be contacting LifeLabs corporate to voice a complaint. Competency and compassion/manners should go hand in hand, people shouldn't be hired on just competency alone. If you can't speak to people without being condescending and annoyed, then you shouldn't be working at a place that deals with people who have medical conditions.

If you booked an appointment you will not have to wait. It was quick and not painful!

I recently had to go here for blood work. When I was called to go the nurse I didn't hear all of what she said ( I have slight hearing loss in one ear) so I went to the desk to ask if she could repeat to clarify. As I approached the desk a male nurse/doctor practically shouted at me Room 2 SIR"!!!I have diabetes so I spend a lot of time around medical professionals and I've never been spoken to like that. I was upset and humiliated and if it wasn't fasting blood work I would have just left. Thankfully the nurse who took my blood was a sweetheart she was extremely pleasant and kind to me. That was the only good thing I can say about being there.I won't be going back."

Staff are so rude, I told them I have an appointment but she was doing her own Job and put me on Waiting List with without appointment patients, when I went to desk, they telling me that you should let us know...With the appointment Wait for an hour...

Took ages for them to take my blood, even though I came by appointment. They were accepting early morning walk-ins even though they had so many appointments. What's the point of taking an appointment then? The technicians came in after 9am, then why have appointment slots before?Furthermore, the male technician Sayan who was taking my blood was so rude and snappy. I was feeling anxiety so I didn't catch what he said fully, and he snapped horribly. I was a bit taken aback at the tone and behaviour- especially after you kept us waiting for 40 minutes.

Fast friendly and efficient. What a great team at this Life labs location. Life labs unfortunately has the worst website and appointment booking system since the inception of the internet.

Great experience here every time I need a blood test. Usually these type of places have bad reviews but this one I can tell that I never had any problems and short wait time.

We went here to have my 5 year old daughter's blood work done. She has Autism and had a very serious fear of going to any medical facility due to previous experiences. But here, she had a very quick procedure and they quickly found her vein. She did cry of course but not hysterical and kicking and shouting. They werealso patient and wait until I was able to send via email our requisition because I forgot it at home. It was a really good experience for us and my daughter was happy and not cranky going home. Thank you lifelabs whitby. I will always have our blood works done here from now on.

The staff here is so nice! I came right at 7 am and she was so pleasant. So nice to be welcomed that way. Usually life lab staff aren’t so nice
