It is an OK school if you are looking for a belt factory. The more you pay, the faster you get your belts, and the black belts are not any better at doing moves then the white belts. Belt tests are painful to watch as the students don't care and neither does Master Lok. Tons of better schools out there. Lok's is bottom of the barrel as far a martial arts school goes.

The youngest person ever acheiving 8th dan in hapkido, Mr. Lok is a real master not only in Kung fu, he is a role model for a lot of young kids.

My son always enjoys Master Lok's Hapkido class. My son told me that Master Michael Lok is an awesome teacher with patient, super passionate about Hapkido, and a totally cool person to learn from.Based on my observation, Master Lok is a good teacher who knows how to engage students in the learning process. He always put students first, cares about them and always gives them enough time to learn new techniques. Excellent teacher!!! I highly recommend him!!!

Very unprofessional in my opinion. I had to wait between half an hour to an hour for the instructors to arrive before every class! Wasted my time and money. Not recommended.

Showing up early for class doesn't really matter anymore as you are lucky to have classes actually taught by Master Lok himself. His usually just appoints his instructors to teach so he does not actually do the teaching himself. Most of the time, he just sits around and chats up the parents spectating their kids. He seems like a salesman to me instead.Classes are always the same and what I mean by that is the routine is the same... Always and every single time. In class demonstrations when Lok does feel like showing some technique, for some reason he always chooses small teenagers. I don't see why shouldn't use techniques on someone of his own size. This leads me to question his techniques and ethics.Anyways, with all that being said, I can firmly say that I will not be going back. Save your money and spend it elsewhere, where it actually gives you back value.
