dog was attacked by another with multiple puncture wounds. Originally the owner was apologetic and said he would cover the vet bills as they didn’t not know which dog did it (why are there not cameras??). After hearing how much it would be the owner slowly stopped answering and said it was our dogs fault for not yelping. He is a very well behaved dog and would never make a peep. The owner is now completely avoiding and will not answer messages. Do not bring your dog here they will not take any responsibility for what happens under their “supervision” I say that with quotes as clearly no one was watching the dogs.

I sent my dog here for two days. On the second day he was attacked by another dog. I understand things happen but I was not notified and had to discover it on my own that night. After a trip to the emergency vet the vet could not believe that the staff had no idea what happened. It was a viscous attack. The vet could tell by the multiple puncture wounds. When I contacted the day care they seemed like they cared. The owner shared that they are in $40,000 of debt and that they can not cover any of the vet bill but will give us a credit to return. I have asked them multiple times for an update. I’m going on week 3 of no answers. I do not recommend this daycare. They clearly do not watch the dogs or care about the well being of the dogs.

This is the rebranded version of Archie and Friends, closed due to “legal issues”.I booked my dog in to Archie and Friends for a night in June 2023. I called, and the voicemail told me to book online, which I did. Upon booking, I received a confirmation email for my reservation. When I showed up, this place didn’t even exist. I kept trying to call but received a voicemail. In a panic, I started calling around, and called this place labelled “Boarding Clinic”. A man named Aaron answered and explained to me that Archie and Friends had to close due to legal issues. He was the previous owner of Archie and Friends and is trying to rebrand himself. He offered to take our dog in his home in Kitchener, which we denied. Fortunately, we were able to find new location for our dog and are thankful for that. Beware.

Place looked ok and staff seemed friendly enough, we called and had family call for updates and were told everything was good. Unfortunately, the dogs both have kennel cough. I get that outbreaks could happen, but im concerned we were not told upon return or when they initially got sick, as we would have had family take them to a vet. Owners should be informed ofoutbreaks.Response to owner- Aaron, I never mentioned the word neglect. Onset of symptoms for kennel cough is actually a 2 to 14 day window. I agree with you that kennel cough is a part of doing business, and thats fine. But think of it like if my dog was injured, i would hope that we would be called or atleast notified upon pick up. Kennel cough can develope into pneumonia if it gets worse and our one guy is really sick right now. Its not a problem that it happened, i just need to know so i can get them fixed, thats all. Had we been told when they got sick, id have given you guys 5 stars and recommended.

I was quite satisfied at the beginning of my experience with this facility…we enrolled our dog in the silver bone program ..he was learning a lot at the beginning…THAN!! The owner suggested to my wife to do the boot camp program for 2 weeks , where we leave our dog at his care for the time period. When we got our dog back, first of all half the possessions we left with our dog(to make his stay more comfortable) we didn’t get back upon pick up..when we got him back we thought he was a new dog…turned out that was WRONG! He had gotten kennel cough from the facility and was weak(our dog is an over excited Yorkie which has behavioural issues with barking at other dogs on leash)..after over a dozens of phone calls trying to contact the owner of the progress of the $1100 dollar boot camp course ..he kept side lining us and said he would contact us “I’m currently busy I’ll get back to you later”. We ended up giving up on him and will never go back..to this day we never got any feedback of our wasted $1100

Aaron (owner) has been a fantastic trainer. Incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. We took our golden retriever (Lily) to his 6 week bronze bone training program and had great success. She's 5 months old and can sit/lie down/stay, she has a loose leash when we go for walks, and will return to me outside even when off leash. He explains the reasoning behind his training methods and gets you to understand how your dog thinks and makes decisions. We've also had a couple of private 1 on 1 sessions to help with Lily's food aggression after she bit my wife. He very quickly helped us remove that aggression by having us teach Lily that people are good things and not threats to defend against. This worked amazingly and i'm so happy with how she's turned out. There was some scheduling issues if you don't book through the website, but he was always very apologetic for any issues and worked to give make up sessions.Daycare was also great for lily, it gave her socialization with other dogs and let her burn off energy while me and my wife had to work.I'd easily recommend Aaron and the facilities to anyone who will listen.

Unfortunately we had an awful experience at Archie and Friends. Aaron is a nice guy but communication skills are really lacking. He never answers the phone. Its impossible to get in touch with him. And he has cancelled class 3 times now on such short notice. The classes are very expensive and run for 6 weeks. When you sign up you ensure you will be available for 6 weeks and don't expect to run past that time but now we will be 3 weeks past due to him canceling classes and now un able to attend the classes. Also, the facility is not clean what so ever. I felt very uneasy about leaving my puppy there for the day as the big dog in the lobby was growling at him when we walked in the door. It smells so bad in there I could barely sit through the classes as it is. Look into dog training somewhere else that is more reliable.

We picked our 2 dogs up this morning after boarding for over a week. I am so upset. Both our dogs have kennel cough and one has a severe ear infection. We called several times during our trip to check up on them and these issues were not mentioned. The previous reviews say that the owner has been aware of this outbreak for over a month. Obviously no one is checking up on the dogs.I understand that dogs get sick and outbreaks happen but this is just pure negligence on the owners part.If you care about the welfare of your loved one, do not send them here!

Last year I completed a package of training sessions with Aaron at Archie's Dog Daycare along with some daycare stays and I was thoroughly disappointed. However, being new to dog ownership I wasn't sure if it was just me or if it was actually a poor experience. Now, after working with other trainers and daycares I can definitely say this was a poor experience.First let me say Aaron is a nice guy. I don't mean to direct any of this at him in a mean spirited way.1) We had an initial call where we chatted about options and settled on a package that included 1 on 1 training and some daycare stays. Right from that first phone call things seemed hectic. He said to text him the date and time we agree upon because he wasn't near a computer (he couldn't use his calendar function on his phone and book it right then?). So I did that. I showed up a week later at the time we agreed upon and that I had sent him. When I arrived he had no clue I was supposed to be there. He said he had no coverage for the daycare and that he couldn't possibly have agreed to do a training session then. Fine. Mistakes happen. Despite an electronic paper trail that HE requested. I let it go and rebooked.2) On the topic of scheduling, on several other occasions either I showed up and he wasn't expecting me (as scheduled) or other people showed up during our one on one session expecting their own appointment only to be turned away due to miscommunication". I can only hope scheduling and administrative tasks have improved there - during my experience it was an absolute unmitigated mess. Operations and logistics are SO important to a growing small business and were clearly a shortcoming here.3) I always found the entire place unclean. Look I know it's a dog facility and dogs make messes. That's what I thought it was normal.. until I started taking my dog to places that actually prioritize cleanliness and upkeep. There were constantly puddles of urine

Aaron ““the owner””Failed to let everybody in that establishment that let their dog in there know that there is an outbreak of severe case of kennel cough and he has been letting dogs in and out without letting anybody know so if your dog has been there or is going there please get them checked ASAP my dog is severely sick and I’ve spent over 300 today at the vet and what is worse is that my dog has caught it before from Aaron‘s centre when she was a puppy there for training . now I didn’t know this at first I figured it out once my vet told me that she probably got it when she was a puppy while she was getting trained there. if she got it now while she was at the daycare that means that that establishment has not been cleaned for over two years which is very concerningthis now seems like a legal issue to me
