It pains me to give this place a poor review. My mom and I wanted so badly to support not only local but a Filipino business.She was craving pancit palabok and had it at Lakay before and really enjoyed it. What we were served was not even close to expectation. For those not familiar the sauce on the noodles is made with seafood - shrimp and/or crab. The sauce on what we received was sweet. My mom said it tasted like Pad Thai and I likened it to Filipino spaghetti (sweet also). When we asked about it we were told it was one of the ways they make it and that we could ask for the 'original' way next time. I thought an appropriate response would have been to replace it.We were also turned off by the portion size. We ordered two combos. You receive a large mound of rice but then your food is placed in little bowls on the side. When you can see the bottom of the bowl as the food is sitting in it you know you're being ripped off. The server was careful in the quantity they were giving and - a huge pet peeve of ours - taking some out when they feel they've put too much.Many other places we can and will go to instead. They do seem popular as they had a lot of take out orders but from our experience we won't be back.

Fantastic experience and amazing spread! This was my first Boodle/Kamayan feast and it did not disappoint. Ariel and his family treated us as family, could not be happier. They are very fairly priced and the portions are massive. It was very sweet of them to surprise us with a custom dessert for my gf birthday. A lot of love is put into their food and service.

Appears to be a family run restaurant. Very nicely designed inside with limited dine-in space.Great food presentation but my food was a little salty; however, very reasonably priced.It was a unique experience trying traditional Filipino food.

This place is small but definitely homey. Food were great and presentation is at its best. First time we tried this place was via Uber but dining here is an experience. The owner is kind and friendly and the ambiance just brings you back to home. Sisigsilog is definitely a must!

I ordered from this location numerous times through Uber Eats, when I was based in Toronto. I try to order plentiful, as this place is far from my location.They were previously called Kuya Willie's Kainan, and they never failed to impress me with their consistency, despite the name change.Last time I was in Toronto, their recipe was still the same since I first ordered from them.Kare kare has a rich peanut sauce with all of what is expected to be in the dish (tender beef, oxtail, beef stripe, string beans and other vegetables).Best grilled pork belly around GTA. Has the original Filipino smoky flavour - - not sweet and tangy. Please do not ever change this recipe.I tried out their pork sisig. First things first --I like that it doesn't have mayonnaise, because it doesn't really have to be there. Meat is perfectly cooked and tasty.They don't skimp on servings, and everything that I ordered are so good. Good value, if not for the delivery and other charges especially as I am far from this place.Thank you and keep it up, guys! :)

Very friendly staff who walked through the menu with customers who may not have been familiar with Filipino food. Although a smaller place to eat , they were accommodating in setting up the dine in area for us to sit. Good menu with a lot of choices and the service was great as well. Would recommend their breakfast options even if not having breakfast. Had the daing-silog which was amazing.

Went there for lunch (party of 6). We all ordered their kamayan special. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly! Will definitely come back! I recommend calling in advance for a reservation, as they get really busy, especially on weekends.

We were looking for some substantial Filipino food and this definitely did not disappoint! We had 3 people and ordered the boodle fight and everything was delicious, affordable and you can tell that it was all assembled with care! The service is great and all the staff were super friendly and welcoming :) the dine-in space is small but they moved tables and chairs around to make space for us, which was very sweet of them!

First time visiting this location and it is now our go-to spot for delicious Filipino food. My husband and I ordered 2 boodle fights and there was so much variety in it. We couldn't finish it, but it was so good we took the rest home for later.The dining area is cozy and is nicely decorated. The owners are very kind and friendly, one of best service we've experienced.I definitely recommend this place and we will be returning.
