I am thoroughly confused with the 4.5 rating. I ordered a chicken rice platter. I requested the tabouleh and got dry chopped parsley with a couple of olives. I had to add my own lemon juice and olive oil to it just to make it barely palatable. The hummus was bland and runny. Like completely devoid of any flavor. The chicken was so so. A bit dry and no flavor. The garlic sauce was not garlicky at all. The hot sauce was...you guessed it, not hot at all. Seriously, this place is not good.

Donair Star's wraps are always a tasteful and delicious experience. We have eaten there sometimes and it has been great every time.People there are really kind, friendly and helpful. Once on a rainy Sunday morning I needed to exchange money in order to obtain coins for the laundry. The only place I could get some help was there.Funny story, but it is a good example of how attentive they are. Thank you everyone!

Had the beef platter in medium. The food was not warm and had to heat it up. The meat was not as tender as I would like. The rice was okay, it was plain basmati. The salad had no dressing whatsoever, it was just slices of tomato, cucumber, onion and lettuce. The sauce on top of the rice was good, probably the best part of the platter. The serving was not as much as I was expecting for a medium.Overall it was okay. There are better options in the area however they are closed on Sundays. I would not come back if other shops were open.

Got a large and medium platter today and the 2 together didn't even come close to one large from my usual and fave place Osmow's, unfortunately they don't have a New West location. The chicken here was dry, bland and very chewy and sparsely portioned. The beef was better tasting but had the texture of way to much breadcrumbs so it truly tasted like meatloaf, and a not very good one at that, not one drop of moisture in it and when I tossed a piece to my pup he literally let it drop from his mouth and looked at me all confused. Plain white rice under and very little for sauces on top with a side of chunky cut undressed salad and runny hummus on the other side= no return visit. I'll have to plant a seed for a N.W location next time I hit Osmow's.

I fell in love with this place from the first time I tried it, the prices are worth its weight in food they give.i recommend the rice bowl with a regular Donaire. beef or chicken either or they're great well done guys and gals cheers!

I usually order here one a month and I take out my favorite large chicken & lamb donair with less the veggies only turnips, black or green olives, onions and jalapeños with lots of garlic sauce & hot sauce. The portion is big and generous amount of meat. Staff are friendly and recommended place to visit and eat donairs and other meals. Just a small suggestion can you add fries as a toppings? In Dubai and Turkey they add fries on their donairs.

We love this place. You know what you are going to get, a decent healthy meal at a great price. The staff friendly and fast. The rice platter is our favorite go to choice and the portions are generous. We have tried other Donair places in New West to be fair, and they just do not compare with freshness and flavor combinations.

Not really impressed by the taste. Tasted greasy, blend and way too much sauce. Price was right and that’s all about it. I am Still looking for the perfect donair spot in Burnaby but I guess will have to wait to find one .
