Dan Crandall, had come to my attention thru a realty service and completed an inspection of a property I was looking to buy, with poor customer service.Some of the major issues with the home he addressed in his final report were breezed over with little explanation.I had to request a professional contractor to come in because of foundation problems ad wanted to get a second option. While completing the inspection of the foundation the contractor noticed a large wire outside of a junction box taped together. The contractor said that the wires are live and was an imminent fire hazard for me and my family!! Still completing the basement wall inspection by the contractor, he noticed a large void that went thru the basement wall and under the basement stairs. This too was completely missed by the home inspector.I respectfully wrote Dan C. and told him of the items missed. I explained in my email that I was nervous he had missed some hazardous wiring in plain sight of his inspection of the base of the basement wall.I asked for half or all of my money back from the inspector so that I could have another inspection completed. The inspector wrote back with email back explaining he would not refund me anything at all and wanted to come back into the house and have me point out what he missed.I found him to be rude to me and unprofessional. I hope for the safety of your family you would use someone more fair and respectful for a proper inspection in your new home buying process!

Dan is VERY knowledgeable and his price is perfect. Some inspectors do not do certain things like inspect roofs or electrical systems. He did it all and he explained everything in full detail. He's very professional and courteous. Highly highly recommend!

We wete purchasing a home and needed a quick closing so needed to get the home inspection done quickly as well. I called several and couldnt get the inspection done for two weeks.
