I have been with ATCO for my gas and power for the last five years and have been very happy with their customer service and prices. I think there are some smaller providers that are a bit cheaper, but they don't always provide the same flexibility as ATCO to cancel or change your plan whenever you want.We have never had any issues with things being burried in the fine print, surprise charges or being misled by them. Very easy and upfront to deal with!The company has also thrown in a few perks over the years, like free or discounted tickets to events at Spruce Meadows. It is also an Alberta company, so they employ local people and support local non-profits - which is something that we feel good about!If the prices fit what you are looking for, I highly recommend them.

Jaret (110006) came to our condominium today, January 9, to start an uncooperative gas fireplace for us. He was polite, helpful, and personable. He handled the situation with professionalism and kept us informed as to what he was doing. We feel that he is a credit to your company and appreciated his professionalism and his friendliness. Horrible service.We signed a new contract in April, switching to the guaranteed rate(s) for electricity and gas.After receiving several higher than normal" bills

Rip off company. 20years I've been renting and never in my life have I ever received bills over $600 like what is going on. Highly suggest finding a different company who knows gonna rob you of your hard earned money.

For Nov-Dec 2022, we were charged $0.335 / KWH for electricity vs. our neighbour’s $0.0629 / KWH who’s with ENMAX, completely shameless.

A very shady and poor customer service company. I was told by customer service that if I shut my power off at the cabin for the winter months there would be no monthly charges till I turned power back on in the spring and then there would be a one time re connection fee of a 150 dollars. To make a long story short the monthly bills of 50 plus dollars per month for no power usage kept coming even though I paid the 150 dollar disconnect fee. I have talked to customer service at least 5 times on this issue and over an hour on the phone each time. Each time they say the issue is solved and I will be credited back on my next bill only to find out a month later on my next bill that I was not credited back. I’m very frustrated with all the lies and poor customer service from Atco Energy. Hopefully the last phone call will have things resolved but I’m not counting on it.

The level of understanding, care, patience, and problem-solving skills demonstrated by Janhavee was absolutely amazing! I called in today with the intention to end the service because I was really upset about the rate hikes and the ridiculously high “variable plan” fees started back in August 2021 when the “guaranteed rate plan” ended and I didn’t notice. After the conversation with Janhavee and what her team had to offer, I decided to give ATCOEnergy another try. Although I changed my mind about cancelation because of the excellent customer service provided by Janhavee, I still don’t agree with the unethical way to rip off customers just because they didn’t/coundn’t call in to renew their service plans - if you can use calls to promote and grow your business, you can also use calls to remind your valued customers the important changes on their bills - the best way to demonstrate that you are worth the trust.

Absolutely horrible customer service! Do not use this company for electricity.I don't usually write reviews but the experience I have had with this company is outrageous. Talked to multiple employees regarding my cancelled account and each representative has different rules, cancelled my account over a month ago and am constantly receiving emails that I'm still being charged even after talking to multiple employees regarding this matter. Save yourself the hassle and stay far away from this company

Save yourself money and time, don't go through them! Was automatically moved to variable rate after my term. What a rip off! How they can rip people off on rates are beyond me.
