Ichiban Living Pacific Mall

This is one of my favourite places to visit at Pacific Mall. They carry a bunch of household items from a 100 yen shop in Japan called Seria, probably the first one in Toronto to bring them in. Of course the price is more than a dollar but I consider it like paying for import fees. They have since raised the prices from $2 to $2.25 per item, but still worth it for most items. You can find some very aesthetically nice things here that you normally wouldn't find at a Dollarama like washi tape and bento box tools. The staff here generally don't speak (much) English and they're not necessarily knowledgeable about every item in the shop (e.g. I heard a woman asking what an item was used for since the labels are Japanese, but the staff didn't know - kind of awkward). For that reason I'd give it 4 stars.

A good place to buy some Japanese household stuffs. Make sure you check out downstairs.

A nice variety of useful items at this Japanese “dollar” store. Everything is $2.25. Lots of stationery, storage containers, some dishes, a lot of cleaning supplies (sponges, brushes, etc), kitchen utensils and kids toys. Would recommend!!

Be warned! This is no longer a TWO dollar store. There is no notice that everything in thestore is no longer Two dollars until you reach the cash register and they say it’s $2.89 plus tax = $3.26 for each item you filled your entire shopping cart with.They put a small sticker that says .89 cents that you can’t even SEE.Plus most items in the store are not made in Japan. It’s labelled in Japanese, but made in China

Small shop with a variety of cute items for $2 each. Love the chopsticks! FYI No credit cards. Cash only or debit accepted above $10.

Good place to get some cheap items. Lots of varieties to choose from. Sometimes they have specials on top of the prices (special occasions like boxing week). Prices have gone up from $2 to $2.25 at the time of writing, but it's still cheap.If you've gone to dollarama, you need to stop by here as well. Their selections are very different. This is The Asian dollar store.

you can find some unique products, reasonably good quality. Only issue, but A BIG ISSUE is there is no English descriptions of the products. For example I recently bought a pack of cleaning powders specific for stainless steel Thermos bottle (Product number C1549), there are description on the back of the pack in Japan language. No single word of English. If this store wants to thrive for long time in North America, and many countries there should be English translations in all the products.
