A magical evening enjoying live music and a huge serving of fish and chips. Incredible food! Timely and friendly server. Nice house red served. Joe Nolan shares intimate narratives, amazing song writing and a generous night of music. Thanks so much!

Had a fantastic evening at the Ironwood.Food was spot on, wait staff was very busy yet attentive. Live music was what brought us through the doors, the atmosphere and acoustics were excellent.Bankes Brothers opened for Jesse Roper and they all crushed it!At first glance $50-60/ person is not exactly cheap, but that's all in- cover charge/food/ drinks and tip, for an epic night out!Will definitely be back!!*if you haven't yet heard of Jesse Roper, i'll forgive you....But seriously, what are you waiting for?? Check him out, start downloading, find him on instagram, you won't be disappointed!

Great spot! Enjoyed the Saturday matinee for some bluegrass! I want to leave a review about the bartender Shay! He was just fantastic! Recommended the calamari, I did not expect much but it was delicious! Super friendly service and he recommended our next stop for the afternoon at a local brewery around the corner. It was also fantastic and we never would have known about it bad he not taken the time to chat with us! He’s a keeper!

And we went early to have dinner before the music started, and let me tell you, this is one of the few places I have been out to eat in Calgary, where I don’t feel the menu prices have been increased to the point of near ridiculousness. I had the braised beef short ribs, and they were so yummy. Our server boggled our minds with how great his memory was and his attentiveness. We were a table of eight and did not want for anything despite this place being sold out for the band. Highly recommend as a solid fun night out.

Went to a Calgary JazzYYC show and ate dinner before the show. The food was surprisingly good! The next time I visit Ironwood I will again combine dinner with the show.

Outstanding venue for live entertainment! The servers are the best we have seen - fast and on point! Ironwood is very clean and we felt safe parking and at all times in the venue. Free parking outside after 6pm on the street - just arrive early for parking and enjoy a nice dinner. Recommend the jambalaya and the steak sandwich. Fries and spinach dip were excellent. Great drink menu and the service was over the top. So important to support live music. Reservation’s recommended.

Great little venue in a fun kitschy part of town. They always have good live music in a historic building. The food here is also good. I’ve been dozens of times and whether a headliner from out of town or a local musician they have all been good. For big shows you want to show up early as the venue is long and narrow. So if you want to see the stage better... go early and have dinner before the show.

This was worth the round trip.While exploring the city earlier in the day I saw the signs for the live entertainment on their door.Curiously I asked some of the local shop keepers. They stated that not only was the entertainment worth it but the food was amazing and they were right.I had the soup of the day, Creamy Carrot Basil. Surprisingly amazing! The burger was spot on perfect even down to the perfectly toasted bun!!!If I could rate this place a 10 I would.I also arrived just in time to hear the headliners warming up! How fun!!!
