Peaceful Restaurant
I've been to Peaceful Restaurant about 3 times over the years. What prompted me to go the first time was the fact that they were featured on the Food Network.Their food is ok. I went there yesterday for lunch and ordered their Ginger Beef Lunch Special. It was good and filling. I like that they serve it on red rice. It's quick service. Perfect if you have an hour break for lunch.I ordered their chili oil on the side. It was spicy but not really flavourful. It had a slight plastic aftertaste.The Ginger Beef itself was tasty though. Not bad for $15 including tax and tip.

Delicious, copious, inexpensive. We’re half done when took pictures. Box full of veggies came separate for 1 soup and hot sour was best I’ve had, really sour. Wantons were great addition to both.

Peaceful restaurantThe hand-pulled noodles in a spicy sauce were fresh and tasty. Kung Pao prawns with peanuts and veggies - perfection! They didn't scrimp on the seafood. Super friendly and fast service.

Reliably delicious. The noodles are the star of the show anytime I eat at Peaceful Restaurant. The veggie tofu stir fried noodles are one of my all time favorite meals. Veggies are thinly sliced so they stay crunchy and cook perfectly. Noodles are tender and chewy, incredible every time. I also love the flavor of the tofu. Sometimes I skip the tofu at places that don’t season it very much, but this is one place that I actually get extra tofu!

Tasty and fresh, and very pleasant service but the quantity of food for the price leaves very much to be desired especially as I need low carb options. The fried beans were especially good but $17 for probably less than a large handful of beans? Oh well.

We ordered the soup dumplings and the pan-fried vegetable dumplings. The pan-fried vegetable dumplings were surprisingly very good. They was a generous amount of filling and the taste was just right. The soup dumplings were quite good. I was surprised that all of my soup dumplings still had the soup intact even though I ordered for delivery. The only complaint I have is that the skin of the dumpling was thicker than I prefer. Would definitely order from here again.

Solid joint for affordable delicious and hearty northern Chinese food! The noodles were fresh and the XLB and dumplings were juicy. Only complaint is that the salt and pepper squid tasted stale/near the end of its shelf life.

Update July 2023Used to be our favorite dining spot, unfortunately the food quality has steadily declined. The beef role and the steamed soup dumpling were still pretty good, however the cumin lamb was completely different, mediocre, and hard to chew.What were on the menu but not available: Chive pocket, knife cut noodle, and cumin beef patties. Please strike them from your menu and also from the poster outside of the restaurant.July 2022They don’t have chive pockets, nor knife cut noodle anymore. The hand pulled noodle and the beef rolls were pretty good.

Excellent in every way! The restaurant is more peaceful than some temples I have visited and I have never tried food that tasted more Chinese. If you go there it will become one of your favourite restaurants in Vancouver. Highly recommend
