Fantastic place to get a variety of delicious Mexican cuisine.The tacos were all fantastic, especially the pork belly and brisket. The frijole taco was the best bean taco I have ever had.Slow roasted corn was spicy, unique, and tasted good.The prawn tostada tasted good. However, it was dripping with chili oil and was a bit messy.The prices are cheap, the food is delicious, If you like Mexican cuisine you have to try Native Tongues.

this was one of the best meals we’ve had, would 100% recommend this place to anyone and everyone! the service was amazing, food came out super fast, and everything tasted amazing! new favourite restaurant, and we will definitely be visiting again.

Good food.I preferred the tostada over the tacos. The potatoes had a wonderful aioli, which was a pleasant surprise.Our order was forgotten several times, and when we asked about it, we were challenged if it had really not come.

Better tacos than Mexico? Oh yes! It is funny but the Mexican cuisine in Mexico is terrible, unless you go to one of those acclaimed, Micheline star restaurants. Luckily we have a great Mexican Influenced" restaurant right her in Calgary and it is absolutely delicious. I tried the pork belly taco (my absolute favorite)

Came here for tacos but found out they make a pretty killer glazed donuts as well. If I had to pick some favorites it would definitely be the fish taco and the pork belly taco. If you want dessert go for the donuts! They are very big and very fluffy. Would definitely come back just for the donuts.

I’ve been here a few times over the years, and it’s great to see a new weekend brunch menu. The Mexican dishes offer more flare and flavours than the standard brunch fare at other restaurants. The service was prompt and friendly, and the place wasn’t too busy, so we were able to get a table right away; it soon filled up. My only disappointment was the lack of espresso based drinks. I will definitely be back for the food.

As someone from the States whose had tacos in California, Texas, and many other places known for Mexican food, Native Tongues is easily in my top 3 taco places of all time, maybe even number 1! Very high quality, authentic taste. The carnitas tacos were so flavorful and cooked perfectly. I had to stop myself after 4, but I wanted to keep eating them. The salsa taster was also amazing. I’ll definitely be back! The service staff did an incredible job as well. Much speedier and friendlier than servers in the States, and they were able to accommodate my food allergies with ease. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Stop reading my review and go eat! (I’d also like to add that the prices are extremely reasonable.)

Came here for the first time during happy hour. Whilst the atmosphere and food were good, our service was not.We had arrived right at 2, which at this point the restaurant was moderately busy, but by 2:30 it had mostly cleared out. Despite this slowdown, our server did not notify us of the specials, had to be chased down for more food and our bill as they continued to walk past us multiple times as we sat with empty plates. Our server also got our 4 taco order wrong, which it might have helped if they had actually written what we ordered.I’m not sure if maybe they were just having a bad day cause the rest of the team ended up helping our server with clearing our plates, and serving our food. So bonus for the rest of the team.Would only return cause food was bomb.

Service 5/5, food 3/5 - took the average. Nice ambience and decor inside. Our server was so kind, helpful with recommendations and very friendly. Not the best tacos I’ve had, but for the price, it is worth trying. The tuna tostada tasted very fresh and the mushroom taco was a great veg option (I would order these again). The pork belly taco was missing flavour on the meat or a better sauce. I’d like to come back to try some other menu items in hopes to redeem some stars :).

OH MAMA, does this place serve good food. Was in San Diego a week after I visited this establishment and I must say that the tacos here were quite competitive...large selection of foods to choose from, the overall design of this spot is quite lovely as well.Staff super friendly and accomodating! I would highly recommend ending your meal with the Donas (donuts), good god are they good...its fluffy, sweet, and puts a smile on your face...quite succulent indeed, comparable to what you may feel when your parents give you words of affirmation you may have never recieved in your childhood (and later if applicable).Definitely coming back.
