Saskatoon if full of many types of facilities such as this. Parkville is self-descibed cruise ship for adults and management will not be able to provide even basic health support to residents, despite its excessive price structure and commitment to its residents as a care home.Parkville, as it did in our case, may provide a good view for some lucky residents. The view,, itself, was the only reason we stayed for any length of time, as mom was very visual. While we looked for a new facility we had to endure the consequences of our choice to bring mother here. At the time my Mother was a resident, we found management , weak, flippant, and non-proactive in dealing with the facilities inadequacies and repetitive problems. The food was mediocre at best, and generally staff were neither pleasant or tolerant of clientele. One of the worst problems with Parkville Manor, is that we did not like management renting suites in Parkville as an overflow to the park town Hotel. This allowed strangers access to elderly care home residents. The bar noise, regularly inebriated patrons were a grave concern. We were forced to move to a much better facility that was solely for seniors and not the general public. When it came time to move because of these and other conditions, a.s.a.p.Fortunately, in Saskatoon, there are many better choices in town at a better price point and are more accommodating, better able to address seniors real-world needs.I recommend you visit as many facilities as possible to make an informed decision.

My Mother lived in Parkville for 7+ years. She was very happy there and made many good friends. A menu was provided with each meal, allowing choices and variety. All staff were supportive and competent. Mom maxed out the Home Care, Parkville Manor was able to provide and moved to LTC. Family were able to rent a room when visiting Mom and eat in the Dining room with her (prior to COVID19). A perfect place to spend her 'Golden Years'.

The Parkville Manor was an ideal place to stay immediately following my hip surgery this fall. As a single person living out of town, my family wanted a well-maintained and accessible facility as well as 24 hour health support if needed. The Parkville Manor fit the bill! The room was spacious, clean and convenient and I certainly enjoyed the autumn colours of the South Saskatchewan. Meals were delivered daily and the staff met with me personally to ensure that my dietary needs were being met. I enjoyed getting to know the staff, each of whom made me feel welcome and valued.Although I am glad to be home, the two week stay at the Parkville Manor facilitated my post-operative convalescence and I am thankful for the care and hospitality I received. Thanks again to you all.

Excellent food with multiple choices per meal made by a certified chef.Rooms are significantly larger than you’d expect. Studio suites are set up as one bedroom suites with large windows overlooking the river.Management is superb providing extremely high quality care. 24 hour call buttons in each room.Every part of the retirement home is spotless. They allow family to feel at ease knowing their loved ones are well cared for, happy and as comfortable as possible while maintaining a high level of independence.
