An incredible experience with outstanding food. Prices are fair and service is exemplary. Bravo! I would definitely recommend this place for dinner with colleagues or a first date. The ambiance is so unique and like nothing we have experienced in Vancouver yet (have been living and dining here for 7 years). We will be back!!!

I ordered the Bouillabaisse on a recommendation from our server. She said it was a large portion which appealed to me. It was good, but the portion was small and left me hungry. The mustard sourdough and fish was quite good but wasn’t much there. Everyone else’s dishes looked good but small portions. For the price and my experience on this visit I will not be back.

Breakfast is OK, but dinner is not good at all ( I had escargot provençal, foie gras and pommes frites). The escargots tasted so bad, no garlic smell/taste, old escargots. Foie gras: the worst I have ever had, super small size. The fries looked like they were made yesterday, super hard, not fresh/hot, came cold and hard.I had 3 times breakfast here, the lady staff from the Middle East is super, duper kind for the 2 mornings. But there was a tall girl on the 4th June, very bad service! We asked for butter for the bread, she didn't bring, then we asked a second time, she said we don't have butter!" She had a big negative attitude from the beginning. I should have asked her name and tell the manager."

Located inside Hotel Le Soleil, the restaurant is beautiful. However, only dine here if you have time to spare. SUPER SLOW SERVICE! I arrived on a weekday at 11:30am and one women literally did everything: hostess, take orders, expo, serve food, clear dishes. She was working hard and filled our water several times, but it was difficult to flag her down. I only saw one person in the kitchen and we waited a long time between our appy & main courses. They really need to hire more staff.Escargot: do not order, lacked flavourRainbow trout almondine: they serve you the entire fish with brown butter sauce on the side. Fish was fresh, I recommend this dish!Chocolate mousse: I don’t really care for chocolate, I just wanted a birthday candle on the cake (I specified “birthday” in the reso). Of course the server was too busy to pay attention to small details like that. Not a great place to celebrate a special occasion!

Visited for lunch on a weekday. We opted for the $49 dine out menu with bread & butter for an additional $6. Very euro and whimsical decor. A few tables upstairs are perfect for romantic dining. Service was friendly but our waiter seemed to struggle as the upstairs level was full mid way through our lunch. We had to flag him down for our desserts and the bill. We watched obvious business men sat down after us but left well before us guessing that the waiter was focusing on expediting their lunches. As for the food ... it is unfortunate that the food was 'ok'. We hoped to add Aloutte to our regular dining venues but sadly we won't be doing so. The food in general was not elevated at all to justify the usual menu prices. Basically Aloutte's food is slightly higher if not comparable to room service fare. Au revoir Aloutte c'est la vie!

We had a very wonderful lunch at Alouette Bistro for our early anniversary celebration. The moment we enter, the place was charming and welcoming. The ambiance feels intimate in a very french art deco design. Lucia, our hostess that day was exceptional and extra attentive. She even recommended a cocktail drink for me, Paloma ( grapefruit with a hint of lavander and tequila) which was so good and didn't disappoint. The menu list was a selection of a French comfort food.We ordered to share the Bone Marrow for starter. Delicious and good portions of Bouillabaisse and Lamb Rack for our mains. The pricing was fair.

Amazing service and great food! Went there with a large group for dinner. For the appetizers we had the tartare, charcuterie board, shrimp, salad, and mussels. I had the Bouillabaisse for the main and it was delicious! It took a long time for the main course to arrive though, around 2 hours, but maybe it was because there were lots of people. We had the dessert platter and there was a large variety of desserts to choose from. The atmosphere was super relaxing and nice. The service was excellent, and our server PAUL was really friendly and helpful!!

Food was decent. Menu was fairly small. Service was amazing, staff checks in often to make sure we were doing ok. Atmosphere is nice and quiet if you sit in the corner. The restaurant has a good vibe with beautiful design. Open kitchen can see chef cooking. Good selections of wine available. Price is decent as well.
