My recent encounter with Joy Jewellers while purchasing my CBU grad ring was an absolute nightmare. I would not recommend doing business with this jewelry store at all, but unfortunately, they are the only suppliers for the CBU grad rings. The experience left me feeling utterly disrespected and frustrated, due to the appalling behavior of the manager, Sarah-Jane Wilson. Her unprofessionalism, rudeness, and repeated instances of hanging up on me were beyond belief.From the very first interaction, it was evident that the manager, Sarah-Jane, had little regard for providing even the most basic level of customer service to potential CBU grad ring purchasers. She asked the CBU Students’ Union (CBUSU) to advertise on social media that there would be a Joy Jewellers representative on campus every Tuesday & Thursday from 2-4 pm to answer any questions students may have about their grad rings. As VP Promotions of the CBUSU at the time, I agreed to advertise for them. However, there were multiple occasions when nobody showed up to table, they arrived very late or left very early. Students were confused and looking for them, so I called to ask if they would be coming. She was very short with me, and her explanation was that they were simply “short on staff” and she did not utter an apology once.On April 21st, 2023, I ordered my grad ring. That day, Sarah-Jane Wilson guaranteed that any rings ordered before April 24th would arrive in time for convocation. Friends of mine ordered their rings AFTER me and got their rings in time for convocation but I did not. I called to see if it arrived the day before convocation (May 17th). She told me that no, it wasn’t in yet because all the other rings passed quality assurance and mine didn’t. She then proceeded to tell me that “this is what happens when you wait to order on the 11th hour and now you are suffering the consequences,” even though I ordered it TWO DAYS BEFORE her deadline. She never apologized once, blamed the situation on me and when I asked her for compensation of some sort, she said that was not at all an option, then she hung up on me. I called back two more times after this in an attempt to ask for more details, only to have her cut me off, continue to blame me, and then hang up twice more.I then asked for the contact info of the store owner. Glenn called me after convocation (May 18th) and was much more apologetic than Sarah-Jane and said the ring still has not shipped yet, hopefully, Tuesday (May 23rd). Eventually, the ring came in on June 2nd which was 2 weeks AFTER convocation.I understand that things happen, and my ring not passing quality assurance was not the norm, but Sarah-Jane’s attitude was unacceptable. The very least the store could have done was treat customers with respect, let alone offer a gift card or something. I suggest Joy Jewellers and Sarah-Jane Wilson in particular, not throw around the word “guarantee” and only use it when delays like mine are accounted for.As a customer who had chosen to invest in a nearly $1 000 grad ring from Joy Jewellers, I expected a level of professionalism and respect, yet both were clearly lacking. Sarah-Jane's behavior not only tarnished my experience but also reflected poorly on the entire business. I will not ever be back, which is a shame since I do believe in supporting local businesses. At the end of the day, I am much more disappointed and upset with Sarah-Jane Wilson’s attitude and behavior towards me, than my grad ring arriving late.It is my sincere hope that this review serves as a warning to others, prompting them to steer clear of Joy Jewellers and the horrible customer service provided by their manager, Sarah-Jane Wilson, if at all possible.

The WORST Customer Service. I went into the store to Christmas shop for my family. We like to support local businesses. Since I was going into their store, I brought in a ring to clean and a watch to replace the battery. The battery they changed two months earlier but it died. I was told to go back after Christmas that they weren't offering that service until after Christmas!!!! The ring they asked me to leave with them and they would clean it and call me! Wow. There were 5 salespeople working and only myself and another customer in the store at the time. This is the 3rd time I have been in that store and the head women is rude and makes me feel that if I'm not spending alot of money in their store then she has no time for a me. I feel sorry for them because time and time again, history proves that her type of customer service puts them out of business. I would never recommend this store to anyone knowing how terrible their customer service is.P.S I left there and went to another local jewelry store and they cleaned my ring and changed the battery on the spot.

personalized service, friendly. I've used layaway and also jewelry repair. Totally satisfied. I wish they had longer hours of operation. It's hard for me to get there 9-5:30.

What a fantastic experience. My daughter had been hunting high and low fir the perfect piece for her upcoming prom, and the gals working on Saturday helped me! Great value, I didn't break the bank and I even found something for myself.

Phoned about watch repair .It seemed as if I was bothering whomever it was who answered. Watch repair is more than replacing links and batteries especially for luxury watches .
