Royal Hotel Calgary, Trademark Collection by Wyndham (Former Executive Royal Hotel)

My partner and I stayed for one night when visiting from out of town. The room was clean and spacious enough for the two of us. Bed was comfy too. We had an early next morning and appreciated that we were able the complimentary breakfast to go.

Everything was OK rooms were dated, breakfast was ok ( found black hair in the waffle tray)Then I found a cockroach in my bathroom! The front desk told me this never happened before and then the sales manager says with more and more international travelers this will be the norm?? Seriously, if I was Wyndham I would remove my brand from this hotel. I have contacted Wyndham international and haven't received a reply!I checked out a day early and only received 1 night refund for my trouble.UPDATE - Since I cannot reply to the owner" who never once spoke with me

I always stay at this hotel when there is a business trip to Calgary.The room is clean and comfortable, free parking, and the most remarkable thing is breakfast. I love it. The menu is even more upgraded than the last time I stayed (March 2023). It’s a perfect morning booster.24/7 gym is also good.

This hotel is one of the best in this area. I've been coming here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you won't be disappointed.We had issues with a third party booking site. MJ at the front desk was absolutely amazing, super friendly and went above to help. Great service and thankful for his help!

I was very upset that the AC in the room didn't work. It was super hot and uncomfortable, in the morning I attempted to take the breakfast voucher to get breakfast to go and the Philippino lady staff told me I was not allowed to take it to go and I had to head back to edmonton. I was extremely upset by my stay there. The value for the money wasn't there as I had paid for the deluxe suite.

This is a really high value hotel. One of the best priced we could find and usually when you pay less you get less but that wasn’t the case with Royal Hotel.We brought our small dog with us and we only had to pay an extra $10. Other hotels were $20+.Our room was very clean and felt high end. Modern furniture and very comfy bedding.Hot breakfast was included adding even more value to our stay. It was a pretty good breakfast, although the hashbrowns were cold somehow even though we were there about 30 minutes after they opened up the restaurant.Overall this was a very enjoyable stay and the value we received for our low price of entry will frankly be very difficult to beat.Would recommend to anyone looking for a high end stay on a budget.

Nice hotel with good service and decent breakfast. Rooms are spacious and clean, and there's also a big parking lot outside. It's located approximately 15-20 minutes drive from Downtown. The only complaint I have (hence one star less) is inadequate sound proofing between the rooms, as sometimes you can easily hear other guests and the noise they are making.

Room was clean and comfy enough. Love that they had wooden floors and it was so quiet, no noise from neighbors. Location was fantastic for what I needed to commute to. Breakfast was warm but quite poor--somehow most of it but the bacon tasted and felt like cardboard in my mouth.

Nice clean rooms, friendly staff.Room was overpriced ($165 CAD) and breakfast was not very good. Wouldn’t mind staying here again if I had to but will likely avoid if a better deal is available.

This hotel was easy to find. Great service. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Clean room. Comfortable bed. All round great hotel. I'd stay again in a minute!
