Very unreliable! I would like to be able to leave a review for their chimney cleaning services, however, they did not turn up to the first appointment and then when I rescheduled, did not turn up to the second appointment either. I cannot get through on the phone and feel as if my time has been thoroughly wasted.

ZERO STARS! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON COWBOYS!!!OCS at first did not want to travel out of their area to sweep my chimney, but agreed when I said I would pay them an extra £20 for fuel. The 1st booking did not happen and after phoning again, Ryan was here a few days later. He attempted to cover my fire surround, but clearly did not have a sufficient sheet, as there was a 5 inch space at one end and the other was nowhere near the back of the fire place. So I gave him a large tarpaulin sheet to use., which he took. He was struggling with being too hot and kept lifting his t-shirt to mop his brow, which I found awkward and so went to the kitchen whilst he swept the chimney. It did not take long, which I thought strange and asked if everything was ok? Was there much soot? Ryan stumbled to find his words and was quick to get outside and take the £80. I thanked him very much, he said he would send a certificate to say the chimney was swept, should there be a chimney fire. Very good, I thought. Upon entering my lounge after he had left I could taste soot in the room. I thought odd and wiped my hand across some furniture, black! After checking all surrounding areas I found black filth on everything! Table, sideboard, desk, sofa, chairs, curtains, carpet , walls etc. I was horrified and after cleaning day and night for weeks, there is still soot deep within my furnishings and ceiling/walls! The chimney HAS NOT BEEN SWEPT and so needs cleaning by a company that knows what they're doing!This is a Litigation Case, but I had hoped for a responsive Director, of OCS. I have attempted to contact him via telephone and e-mail with no reply.

AVOID AT ALL THE COSTS!!!Done stove installation with this company and everything went well until notification of my local authority. Before we start all work they ensured us that they will notify council and we will receive all necessary paperwork.Unfortunately this never happened and now council fee is £648 and retrospective application adds plus 50% (before VAT)

I booked the sweep and soon found that there were several birds nests in the chimney. The guy was super friendly and helpful and helped us clear the first nest. He came back the next day to clear the second as the fire was still smoking into the living room. He even cleaned up after himself. I’d highly recommend using this company. We will be inviting them back next year for the annual sweep.It’s particularly helpful having the automated online booking! Thank you.

There are a few negative reviews on here so I was a little worried when I booked but online booking was so easy and I was able to get an appointment within a week. The chimney sweep Ryan was excellent, helpful and knowledgeable. I thought it was good value as well. I would recommend them to others.

Excellent service, would definitely recommend. I called them Friday regards dirt coming into closed-up bedroom fireplace. Ellis and coworker came as agreed on Monday to assess it. They put dust sheets down, opened the chimney and pulled out a stunned looking pigeon, and then cleaned up to a high standard. At our request Ellis was able to fit caps on our chimneys during the same visit to prevent it happening again. Very good communication, quick workers, good value for money, with respect for property and friendly attitude.

Arrived on time, very efficient service, very professional. No mess, dust sheets put down. I will definitely be using Oxford Chimney Sweep again. Gave excellent advice. Price was very competitive £45 for a single chimney. 100% satisfied. Highly recommended.

Booked three weeks in advance, cancelled on the day. Called for a new appointment as there weren’t any for another three weeks (I had already paid online for this service at the point of booking). Got an appointment a week later, they didn’t show up - no call or text or email to explain why, no answer on the phone. Won’t be using them again and will now have to rebook somewhere else and wait another three weeks since it’s the busy period.

Arrived 40 minutes late and looked half asleep! Spilt soot on my carpet and asked if I’d clear it up as he couldn’t be arsed to get his Hoover back out the van! Went to light my log burner a week later after being ‘cleaned’ and noticed one of my fire bricks had been broke in half! Presumably by removing or refitting! Emailed company several times and have been ignored! STAY AWAY!!Update: 1 month on still no response from company despite my best efforts. Legal advice has begun for the damages to my property.

Had chimneys swept in November. In the process of sweeping, they damaged the flue liner and wanted £2k to repair it. No follow up from the company, no apology. Reckless company, cannot recommend.
