Sturdy’s & Clarke’s Services

We live in Sudbury, ON and reached out to Clarke’s/Sturdy’s Towing to tow a 12’x28’ mobile home from London to Sudbury. Not being able to see the axle and tires Clarke quoted us $5,500 saying that he would have to put a third axle and 6 new tires on the unit to tow it. Tires at $200 a piece. We paid him $2,500 as a down payment. Upon delivery and counting on integrity, I asked him how much we owed him for the difference. He said $3,000 and shame on me that is what I paid. It was until the adrenaline of having our cabin delivered wore off that I realized we paid the full quote amount even though a third axle and new tires were NOT installed. Clarke towed the unit with the old tires and double axle despite multiple conversations with me about his priority for safety. Giving him the benefit of the doubt I asked him to explain why $5,500 was still charged even though we did not get a third axle or all new tires. He did text back but did not provide a response and then went awol. I was grossly overcharged for the service. Do not let it happen to you.

would not recommend, no accountability and very rude. my vehicle did not start and I needed a new tow truck because it couldnt be put on a flatbed without going into neutral. the towwer was very demeaning and unhelpful. he did the bare minimum just so he could say he did it and said a new truck would arrive and I later found out they cancelled the service without getting a new truck all together.

These guys will deliver your container in record time! They go above and beyond speed limits that is. Heck they'll even tailgate through a 50 limit and pass over the solid line then do 80 in a 60 in places like Catherine St. In Dorchester in order to get that container delivered. Speedy service indeed.

Super rude over the phone, highly advise to work on customer service skills. Might be a good idea to be polite to people.

Clarke towing should lose their license !One of their big blue tow trucks almost killed me and my family, and then drove off and gave us the finger!

Terrence towed my truck the other day when I lost my brakes he got my truck there safely and efficiently I will be using Clarke and sturdys from now on

I got bait and switched. Quoted 2 hr min @350. Showed up, obviously didn’t want to do the job “yea it’s a $450 job because it’s muddy”. Not bad revenue for 45 mins.

Driver blew past me at 80 or 90 in the city, just to cut in front of me and slow down.

Sturdy's services was fast and efficient. I had my car sitting in the garage for 6 months. The car battery was totally dead. I tried to boot it up, but didn't work. Sturdy's Service came within 15 min. and within a min My car was back to life. Thank you for your professional and prompt service.

They were out within a reasonable amount of time as it was a cold winter night and from speaking with the driver quite busy. My car didn't want to cooperate,but the gentleman stuck with it, tried a few tricks" and got it going
